Finally, I share with you the perfect chewy choc chip cookie recipe! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

• 150g salted butter , softened
• 80g light brown sugar (you can easily sub this for normal sugar plus a tbsp. of golden syrup like I did, or even leave out the syrup)
• 80g granulated sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 large egg
• 225g plain flour
• ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
• ¼ tsp salt
• 200g chocolate chips

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5. Get your baking trays ready, you’ll probably need two, or to do two batches.
2. Put the butter and sugars into a bowl and beat until creamy. Beat in the vanilla extract and egg. Sieve the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt over the mixture and mix in with a wooden spoon. Add the chocolate chips and stir well.
3. Using a teaspoon, place small mounds of the mixture well apart on the baking trays. Bake in the oven for 8-10 mins until light brown on the edges and still slightly soft in the centre. DON’T be tempted to leave too long, 10 mins is really the max if you want them chewy!
4. Leave on the tray for a couple of minutes to firm up and then transfer to a cooling rack.

Thank you all those who have already booked - I am really looking forward to cooking with you!
I haven't forgotten about the cookie recipe either - once the little people are in bed I shall post it :)

After going through my recipe book, I realised I don't have a "go-to" recipe for chocolate chip cookies, so my morning will be spent in the kitchen, experimenting! What are you up to this sunny Sunday morning? How many of you would like me to share my chocolate chip cookie recipe later?

Morning all! Thank you all so much for your feedback, it seems that the runaway winner was breads! So the first session we will be doing garlic bread, cheesy bread and olive bread :) Hopefully it will be a way to get the kids tasting stuff they might not have before, as after baking our yummy breads we will sit down and eat together :) The session will be £7.50 and any breads that your child made are yours to take with you (if they don't eat them all here, that almost happened the last time we made bread!)

If you think you would like your child to attend, can you please leave a comment below stating how many children and whether you would prefer after school or weekend and I will do my best to fit you all in somehow! Get sharing, liking and commenting :)
