As I've been sharing my journey through my cancer treatment 10 years ago I'd like to share the joy of celebrating an important milestone "10 years cancer free!" as well.

As a reward I'm treating myself to a week off now!

As a result we won't be at the Totnes market this week...

Don't be disappointed we will be back and baking next week on time for the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend.

Although very popular our Apple Surprise is taking a break until the end of September... (fresh cream doesn't like sunshine and increasing temperatures I'm afraid).

But this shouldn't be a reason to panic... so many other temptations will be waiting for you!

We are looking for helping hands:

Bakery Assistant / Cleaner in our Bakery in South Brent

Basic working hours:
Tuesday: 7:00am – 11:00am
Thursday: 7:00am – 11:00am
Saturday: 5 hours (flexible)

Role and responsibilities

• Your main role will be assisting our head baker
Assisting with baking and food preparation
(Might include heavy lifting)

• Cleaning and maintaining the baking area as neat as possible

• Maintaining and sanitizing baking tools, machinery and utensils.

The ideal candidate

• We are looking for people with great team working skills
• You should have a passion about baking and food in general
• Working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own
• The ability to follow instructions
• Capable of physical work
• Hands on approach
• You should be punctual, committed and willing to learn

Training will be given.

Salary up to £15/hour

Recon everyone agrees it's time for more sunshine!!!

As we can't promise some sunshine we'll bring plenty of our delicious cakes to the Totnes market on Friday and Saturday as sometimes it has to be cake to get over a wet, grey and windy day!

Good morning and Happy New Year to all our wonderful customers!

We are aware many will hope for freshly baked bread and other treats today and/or tomorrow at the Totnes market and I feel rather guilty letting you all down... but I'm recovering from a cold which knocked me out longer than expected and I feel I need a few more days before returning to work.

But don't panic we will be back and baking next week!
