Happy Christening to Esmai-Rose ⛪️

Another lovely tall cake in pink and white buttercream. Filled with cream and jam, covered in a white chocolate ganache.

The ganache is perfect for the hot weather and when travelling, as it stays firm, unlike American buttercream which melts away.

Happy birthday to… me 🍰🥳

When I saw some disco ball bananas in the gardening aisle at the supermarket, meant for sticking into and decorating plant pots (I guess), I couldn’t help but want to use them for a Donkey Kong cake. Knowing I wasn’t very likely to get asked to make one, and my birthday was nearing, I decided to make myself a DK Bananza cake after the most recent Switch 2 game. Which is a great game.

I struggle to foresee how the bananas would fit in, but I had everything else mapped in my brain. I decided to stick them on the very top of the cake and I was really pleased with the outcome in the end. It turned out great!

Cake toppers were made by my mother, as per.
