Hello 👋 it’s been a while! Making a little come back with some Christmas treats for you ☺️ this Christmas I have a couple of perfect little gifts available.

1st - shortbread jars! These were a huge hit last year and they last for 6 weeks as long as you keep the lid on tight! 2nd up is the hot chocolate kit 😋 the kit includes a jar of chocolate powder, dark chocolate chips and mini marshmallows and a jar of biscuits of your choice - choose from the selection online. ☃️🎄

Food for thought.

Would you pay a fair price for hand crafted items or are low prices more appealing?

Worth a read.

One of the areas I am passionate to get right on TBCH is pricing. So many talented artisans underprice/undervalue their work and time and don't make a profit, or enough profit. The problem is that if some Crafters are making as a hobby or as a 2nd income then they don't "need" the money. Which leaves the Sellers that do on the back foot trying to compete to get sales but also needing to put food on the table. What is the solution? What do you think? One lady at Hampshire Open Studios yesterday (who I am guessing has a nice house/pension/husband) was selling jewellery sets for £8 - I asked why they cost so little and she said that people didn't "understand" handmade so she just passed on the materials cost. Is this not a huge vicious circle that people buy this and then when seeing something properly priced they think it expensive! I know that this page has lots of likers from different stages and viewpoints of Crafting as well as lots of buyers. How can we change the mindset and get Handmade valued, appreciated and selling at a proper price! Well done if you have read this far! Dottie x
