So I posted this cake on my socials last week but it appears it never made it to Facebook! So trying again now…!

I’ve done a few different themed cakes in my baking time but I’d never done a Super Mario cake until now!

This bright colour pop cake was made for a young man celebrating his 7th birthday last week🎈

After a lovely long weekend away with family, I got straight back in the kitchen to work on the next cake! It’s been a football cake theme kind of summer for me!

A request for a young man celebrating his birthday this week. I’d also made a football cake for him last year, but this time the team was different! I wonder who he’ll be supporting next year!

And the final order for the week…

If only cakes took 50 seconds to create! The reality is a little longer!

This chocolate cake left the kitchen last week for a young man celebrating his 18th birthday 🎈loaded with his favourite chocolates of galaxy and kinder 😋

So I got a new toy for my birthday, a tripod stand to allow for better cake content! Tested it out for this football themed cake that left the kitchen yesterday!

The final details were added by the customer ready for a football themed party ⚽️

This order was for a young man celebrating his 70th birthday yesterday 🎈As a man that loves his lawn, I was asked to include a model of him with his lawnmower and his dog!

Now I’ve made many cakes over the years in warm and cold weather conditions. But I have never made a cake under heat conditions that we’ve experienced this week 🥵 stressful would be an understatement with 2 batches of failed sponges straight in the bin 🤦‍♀️ late nights and early mornings to bake and decorate before the heat was too much! And worrying the cake would melt before it arrived at its destination 🫣

But thankfully the cake survived and made it to the celebration!
