Not taking orders this year, apart from those already booked. I have a lot on, been unwell and finding things overwhelming. It has become a choir rather than a pleasure so I am limiting the cakes I make. I am hoimg to get back to enjoying it and making cakes without any pressure.
For anyone who has asked and I have had to let down, I sincerely apologise. I hate letting people down but I need to take a reset.

I have had a few requests so thought I woud put up a post. Unfortunately due to my busy daytime job and the run up to Christma, I will not be taking orders for celebration cakes for November or December.
I am in full on christmas prep mode. I plan to learn and somewhat master tempering chocolate. Coz my eldest wants me to make christmas treats this year instead if my usual cakes and puddings.

Happy to take requests for the new year.

My latest creation for an 80th birthday celebration. My brief was traditional with pastel flowers. Cake is a delicately flavoured lemon sponge with. Lemon buttercream and lemon curd filling. The buttercream used inbetween the layers has a zing.
I have decorated with edible cake lace, which really tested me. Took three attempts to get it right. Sugar flowers all hand crafted.

So! Yesterday was the day. I had the absolute privelage of making the wedding cake for the gorgeous Mr & Mrs Davies. Making a cake for friends is wonderful but the pressure to make it perfect is immense.
The happy couple wanted my chocolate fude cake decorated to fit the theme of the day. Everything is hand made. The sugar flowers are made to match the bouquet. The topper is moulded chocolate.

An absolute privelidge and a wonderful day to celebrate a wonderful couple. Thanks to Laura and Kyle for trusting me.

My latest bake for a special 18 year old. He wanted vanilla sponge with oreo buttercream (which is soooo yummy) he wanted it themed around his fave tipple Au vodka.

My latest bake! I was asked to incorporate some of the recipients most loves. B.U.F.C was the clour inspiration. I was also asked to include their beloved camper ‘Constance Nell’
I am pleased with this one.
Flavour was lemon sponge with a homemade lemon curd filling.
