Taste of the Country - our story
Taste of the Country has been a proud part of the Shipston on Stour community since 2006. We belive that ur local British food, here in the Cotswolds, is among the best and most bountiful in the world. Over the past 10 years we have been growing. We are always expanding and refining our own range of quality food all cooked and prepared in our kitchen at Alscot Estate near stratford upon Avon. It includes everything from good honest Cottage pie to our rather famous Gingerbread characters...
We are always hunting for and finding great local suppliers, which include Kevin Roles honey, David Jowett and his amazing cheeses, Ice cream from Broadway, cured meats from the Salt Pig in Chipping Norton, the superb Cotswold Gin, local artisan ales from Cotswold brewery and Burkes beers to name just a few...
Ouir hampers are a local tradition, they start from just £25 and are a wonderful gift at any time of year. Terrific wines, chocolates and other goodies to suit every taste.
