If you’ve ever looked at the label on your favourite chocolate spread and wondered what’s actually in it, this one’s for you. 🍫

Our homemade version uses just a handful of ingredients - roasted hazelnuts, a touch of sweetness, and our Food Thoughts Organic Cacao Powder for a smooth, rich chocolate flavour that also delivers natural antioxidants, fibre, and minerals. It’s a simple, more nourishing take on a classic that you can easily make at home.

You will need:
🌰 250g whole skinless hazelnuts, roasted
🥥 200g coconut sugar
🍫 45g Food Thoughts Organic Cacao Powder
✨ ½ tsp vanilla extract
🥄 2 tbsp coconut oil
🧂 A pinch of salt

Method:
Roast your hazelnuts on a tray for 12 minutes, then let them cool slightly. If using nuts with skins, rub them with a tea towel to remove the skin. Place the hazelnuts in a food processor and blend for around 5 minutes, pausing occasionally to scrape the sides until you have a silky nut butter. Melt the coconut oil, then stir in the cacao powder, salt, and coconut sugar until smooth - this step keeps the texture light and the sweetness even. Pour the chocolate mix into the nut butter and blend again. Don’t worry if it looks clumpy at first - keep blending until glossy and smooth. Transfer to airtight jars and enjoy within 3 weeks.

Tiramisu but make it ice cream 🍨 All the flavours you love, rich coffee, creamy mascarpone, and that soft cocoa finish, turned into a frozen dessert that’s perfect for sharing.

This one’s by the brilliant .orbake , and it’s made with just a handful of ingredients, including our Organic Cocoa Powder for that smooth, balanced chocolate finish on top.

Here’s what you’ll need:
🍫 200g condensed milk
🍫 125g mascarpone
🍫 250ml double cream
🍫100ml espresso (cooled)
🍫 16 ladyfingers
🍫 Food Thoughts Cocoa Powder (to finish)

1️⃣ Start by beating the mascarpone and condensed milk until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the cream to soft peaks, then gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
2️⃣ Line a dish and spread a layer of the cream mixture. Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the coffee (don’t leave them in too long or they’ll go soggy), then layer on top. Repeat until you’ve used everything up.
3️⃣ Freeze for at least 6 hours, or ideally overnight, to let everything set properly.
4️⃣ Once ready, finish with a generous dusting of our Cocoa Powder and serve.

It’s creamy, rich, and one of those desserts that always goes down well.

Welcome to Snack Sundays! 👋 Every week, we’ll be sharing an easy recipe you can prep ahead, so you’ve always got something sweet ready, whether you’re sitting down with a cuppa, having a little sweet after dinner, or reaching for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

And we’re kicking things off with a good one. If you’ve been seeing crunchy snacks everywhere lately, this is your sign to make your own.

These Cornflake Squares are everything you want in a no-bake treat: chocolatey with that perfect crunch in every bite.

Made with our Organic Cocoa Powder for that deep, smooth chocolate flavour, it’s the kind of simple recipe that really shows the difference good ingredients make.

Here’s what you’ll need:
🍫 70g butter or margarine
🍫 280g marshmallows
🍫 2 tbsp Food Thoughts Cocoa Powder
🍫 160g cornflakes
🍫 1 cup mini marshmallows
🍫 Food Thoughts 70% Dark Chocolate Chips (for topping)

First, line a tin with parchment paper. Melt the butter and marshmallows together until smooth, then split the mixture evenly between two bowls. Stir cocoa powder into one half, leaving the other plain. Fold the cornflakes into both bowls until coated, then mix in the mini marshmallows. Press both mixtures into the tin, smoothing into an even layer. Chill until set, then melt the chocolate chips and spread over the top. Return to the fridge until fully set, finish with a sprinkle of sea salt, slice into bars, and enjoy.

This trending 4-ingredient no-bake dessert is taking over kitchens everywhere, and it couldn’t be easier. 🍫

Meet Brigadeiros, Brazil’s favourite bite-sized treat made with just condensed milk, butter, Food Thoughts Cocoa Powder, and sprinkles. Soft, fudgy, and perfectly chocolatey, they’re easy to make and even easier to love. ❤️

Traditionally, they’re rolled in chocolate sprinkles, but we love the colourful twist with rainbow ones.

Here’s how to make them:
🥄 Add 1 can condensed milk + 2 tbsp butter to a saucepan on low-medium heat
🍫 Sift in 3 tbsp Food Thoughts Cocoa Powder and continuously stir until thick enough to see the bottom of the pan when parting the mixture
❄️ Pour onto a greased plate and chill for 2 hours
🌈 Roll into balls and coat in your favourite sprinkles

👉 Tag someone who needs to try this and save it for your next picnic!

The 'swavoury' trend is blooming this spring, and we are officially obsessed with this combination 🥥🍯✨

From sweet potato brownies to miso caramels, using earthy staples in baking is the ultimate way to create a more sophisticated, complex flavour profile. These Vegan Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect example. The nutty, toasted depth of tahini meets the intense richness of our dark chocolate chips for a match made in heaven.

For this recipe, we’ve used our 70% Dark Chocolate Chips. Because they have a high natural cocoa butter content and are crafted from single-origin Fino de Aroma beans, they provide a silky, professional melt that perfectly balances the slight bitterness of the tahini.

Here’s how to bake them (Makes 10-12 cookies):

🍪 Whisk ½ cup tahini, ½ cup coconut oil (room temp), ½ cup granulated sugar, and 1/3 cup light brown sugar for 3 mins.
🍪 Stir in 1 tsp vanilla and ¼ cup oat milk.
🍪 In a separate bowl, mix 1 ¼ cup plain flour, 2 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp salt, and ½ tsp each of baking powder and soda.
🍪 Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined - don't overmix!
🍪 Fold in 1 cup of Food Thoughts 70% Dark Chocolate Chips. Chill the dough for 1 hour for the best results (or bake straight away!).
🍪 Scoop into balls, arrange on a lined tray, and sprinkle with flaky salt for that extra flavour pop.
🍪 Bake at 180°C for 12 mins. Let them rest on the tray for 10 mins to get that perfect crispy-outside, chewy-inside finish.

A gorgeous, dairy-free addition to any Easter hamper or springtime picnic. 🐣🤍

A drizzle of melted 70% dark chocolate chips is the perfect finishing touch - and it’s worth using the good stuff! Choosing good dark chocolate is basically a label-reading game. Aim for 70% or above, and if the ingredients list reads like an essay - put it back. Bonus points if it’s made from single-origin Fino de Aroma beans, which are carefully selected from the world’s top 8% quality cocoa, and that is exactly what we use in our Dark Chocolate Chips. Deep, rich flavour without any unnecessary add-ons.

Here’s how to make these delicious no-bake date granola bars:
🍫12-15 pitted dates
🍫4 tbsp chia seeds
🍫½ cup Food Thoughts 70% Dark Chocolate Chips (+ extra to drizzle)
🍫1⅓ cups gluten-free oats
🍫1 tbsp nut butter
🍫A splash of water (if needed)

Blend the oats, mix everything, press the mixture into a lined tin, freeze for 10 minutes, and slice. Then, melt a little extra chocolate and drizzle it on top.
