Late night in the bakery!!! 🥱 8pm finish!!

I’ll be honest this week has been manic with the Chocolate Teacakes and was gutted last week that so many missed out!!! Felt really bad and vowed this weekend was going to be different.

Treble mix today and 225 Chocolate Teacakes ready for Treat Friday!!!
All shops will have plenty but if you want any saving please let us know, people have been travelling for miles to try them!!!

Along with 1/2 pound cookies,more Gravestone cupcakes and Rolo Brownie Sliders it’s been a really productive evening!!!

Home time now and ready for a coffee and chill hour!!!!

It really does look awesome this morning!!

Our other shops have similar displays and both have the full range of Chocolate Teacakes flavours today!!

Derbyshire Lane & Greenhill open till 3pm, Lowedges closes at 4pm!!!

Close to an unbelievable 1 million views(how!!!!😳😳) on our page this week….would love to achieve that by tomorrow so if you love our content and what we do please, if you don’t already, give us a click, a like, or a share!!!!

Seasons are changing!!! 🍁🍂

As bakers this means our counter changes, out go the soft fruits, the bright colours and in come hearty crumbles and warming pies.

Autumn is my favourite season, the colours, the cooler air and mostly for us we can start our Halloween selection!!
This includes cakes, Yorkshire Parkin, cupcakes, biscuits, and all treats Halloween style!!! 🎃

You may think ‘Halloween already???!’
But with our plans this year we got to start thinking and planning early.

Plus our Ella loves it so that’s good enough reason for me!!

Well not go full on ‘Scary Faces’ too early (and believe me there’s some scary faces in the bakery at 5am!!!🤣) but you will see themed products in our counters from today.

Starting with these ‘Gravestone’ chocolate cupcakes!!!!

Love the ‘RIP DIET’ one!!!!🤣

Early, early Bank Holiday Monday Grafters Club!!!

We’ve been here for 42 years, from butchers and then to fully fledged bakers.
We’ve added 2 more shops in that time and wholesale customers too.

But never, ever have I known a day like today!!!! 😳😳 Astounded by the sheer number of customers that’s been to visit us. 🙏🙏🙏

The busiest, most crazy day we’ve ever had. And our other shops in Greenhill and on Derbyshire Lane have been just as bonkers!!!

The Chocolate Teacakes lasted while approximately 11am, apologies on my behalf if you missed out on them. We made so many but still couldn’t keep up!!

Managed to keep the Fresh Cream Buns topped up so hopefully it was worth visiting and waiting for!!!

Just a word on our shop girls. They are amazing, all of them.♥️ Under so much pressure with relentless queues at times, they do a brilliant job I’m sure you all agree.

And under the cosh today they were!!!
3 staff at Lowedges and still the queue went to the road at times!!!! 😳😳

And when I pop in into the shop myself, they say ‘Look Daz!!!! This is down to you with the page’ 🙈🙈🤣🤣
Whoops!!!!😬

And they’re right!!! The Chocolate Teacakes are the perfect example this!!
The interest in them online has been insane!!! From all over the country!!
People asking now if we can ship & post!!!

Chocolate Teacakes are now the future!!!
And available again when we open on Tuesday after the bank holiday!!

Just leaves me to say a huge thanks to you all, first for making the Facebook posts HUGE!!! Which then just snowballed and created this monster!!

And for these last few days in our shops, everyone’s been so patient and lovely!!

That’s Daz’s arms moving faster than a bees wings trying to keep up with the Chocolate Teacakes madness that was yesterday!!! 😀

Worked while 8.30pm and back at 12am this morning. 😴😴

But more than worthwhile!! Plenty of White & Chocolate Teacakes in all shops and awesome counters too including Elephants Feet, Butterscotch Tarts and loads of Fresh Cream Buns!!!

If your going to the food festival in Graves Park our Derbyshire Lane shop is just round the corner, postcode S8 8SE, the glamorous Stacey & Sara are on hand there to look after you!!!

If the Chocolate Teacakes get hit early I’ll post stock levels throughout the day as I know a few people are travelling to grab them today!!!
