15 YEARS. THOUSANDS OF MEMORIES. ONE VERY SPECIAL COMMUNITY. 💜
We couldn't let our 15th birthday pass without taking a little trip down memory lane. And looking back through all these photographs, it's hard to put into words just how much these 15 years have meant.
Back in September 2011, we had a little idea.
Dan brought his experience working within NHS learning disability services, alongside his background in care and his passion for community and fun after working as a programme director for camps out in America for many years . Lindsey brought the business head, and Claire brought her wealth of knowledge in care, safeguarding and compliance.
Between us, we had a shared belief that life should be full of opportunities, friendships, laughter and experiences worth remembering.
And so our journey began.
We wanted to create something that brought people together. Somewhere friendships could grow, confidence could flourish, and people could enjoy all those wonderful things that make life, well… life!
And 15 years later, that's still exactly what we're doing.
Who remembers our original Thursday gang 💜
The OG of our get-togethers! Meeting at Virgin in town, heading out together and making memories long before we could ever have imagined just how many adventures were still to come.
From those early days to holidays near and far, countless days out, evenings together, celebrations, new experiences and more laughter than we could possibly count.
We've travelled, explored, danced, sung, celebrated, supported one another and shared some truly unforgettable moments.
But when we look back, it isn't really the places we've been or the things we've done that stand out the most.
It's the people. It's always been the people.
The friendships that have formed. The confidence that's grown. The laughter over something completely silly. The people who arrived as strangers and became friends. The little moments that turned into the biggest memories.
And, of course, the wonderful people who have been part of our journey but are sadly no longer with us. 💜
There are faces in these photographs that we miss more than words can say. People who brought so much joy, laughter and love into our lives. People who helped shape our story and who will always, always have a place in it.
We remember them with such fondness and gratitude.
And then there's our team.
Over 15 years, we've been lucky enough to work alongside some truly incredible people. People who have given their time, energy, kindness and hearts to making all of this possible.
To everyone who has been part of our team over the years, thank you.
And to those very special people who have been with us through so many chapters and are still here today, you really are part of the furniture now! 💜 We couldn't imagine this journey without you.
Of course, 15 years brings change.
We've grown, evolved, adapted, changed names and started new chapters. People have come and gone, and the way we do some things has changed along the way.
But the reason we started never has.
It was never really about a building, a name or a particular type of service.
It was about bringing people together.
About belonging.
About friendship.
About having fun, trying new things, making choices, exploring the world and living life to the fullest.
It was about creating a community where people could make memories together.
And when we look back at these photographs, that's what we see.
The very same heart that started it all in 2011.
So here's to 15 years of adventures, friendships, laughter, tears, challenges, achievements and thousands upon thousands of memories.
To everyone who has ever been part of our story, whether for a little while or for all 15 years, thank you. You've helped make it what it is.
And to everyone joining us for this next chapter, there's still so much more to come.
Different chapters. Same heart. Still bringing people together, just as we always have. 💜
