From Thursday through to Sunday, you'll also be able to pick up beautiful locally grown flowers from Regather while you're visiting the bakery.

Freshly made focaccia sandwiches: Wednesday–Saturday
Pastries: Available every day we're open
Frozen sourdough loaves (at a reduced price): Tuesday & Sunday

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀.

A bit of a late post this week — somehow Wednesday arrived before we got around to it.

Loaf of the week was dreamed up by my partner for her birthday week:
a lightly sweetened loaf with a little wholemeal flour, filled with dried cherries, toasted pecans, and chunks of white chocolate folded through the dough.

Anyone who enjoys the sweeter loaves we do from time to time — the chocolate breads and similar — will probably enjoy this one.

Also this week from Tipple Tales our fruitcake addition to the bakery we’ve got the Cherry Bakewell fruitcake back again.
These are fruitcakes soaked in a cherry almond liqueur, available by the slice or as whole round fruitcakes to take home.

Our rear courtyard is now open with extra seating and a lovely little green space tucked away behind the bakery. A nice spot to sit with a coffee and a pastry now the weather’s picking up.

And a big thank you to everyone who came down for Sunday’s bagel charity day.
We raised £416.50 for the Sheffield Palestine Cultural Exchange charity — the most we’ve raised so far at one of these events. Really appreciate everyone who came out and supported it.

Another new addition from tomorrow: we’ll be stocking flowers from Regather Flowers.
Bouquets will be available down the side gate in the rear courtyard — just grab a bunch and pay at the till.

You can find us at 1 Lees Hall Avenue, in the Hedge Courtyard next to Spinning Discs record shop.

Opening hours:
Tuesday–Saturday: 9am–5pm
Sunday: 9am–3pm

A big weekend ahead at the bakery.

This Saturday will be the final day for this week’s loaf of the week — the olive Wholemeal sourdough loaf — alongside the usual full shelves of fresh sourdough, pastries and focaccia sandwiches throughout the day.

We’ll also be opening up our courtyard seating at the back for the very first time this weekend, with lots of extra outdoor space to sit with a coffee, cold drink, sandwich or pastry while the weather’s looking particularly good.

Then on Sunday, it’s our monthly charity bagel day — something we hold every fourth Sunday of the month.

There’ll be plenty of bagels, challah bread, pastries and more, with all proceeds from the bagels, challah bread and frozen sourdough loaves going to Sheffield Palestine Cultural Exchange.

You can find us at

In the Hedged Courtyard, next door to Spinning Discs Record Shop

See you over the weekend

𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸
This week’s loaf of the week is our Wholemeal Olive Sourdough — a loaf we’ve brought back a number of times now simply because so many of you keep asking for it. Deep flavour from wholemeal flour, slow-fermented as always, with plenty of olives throughout. One of our favourites, and clearly one of yours too.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲
With some warm weather finally on the way, we’ll also be opening up our rear courtyard seating from Saturday onwards. Many of you already know the front courtyard, but tucked away behind us we’ve got another little space to sit with a coffee and some food in the sunshine. We’ll also have the children’s corner set up back there too.

𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻
We’re hoping to get our little open library up and running this week as well — a simple book swap for anyone passing through. Come and borrow one, swap one, or bring along any books you’ve got at home that deserve a new reader.

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀
On the sweeter side of things, we’ve also just baked a fresh batch of our boozy fruitcakes — part of the newer side of the Wild Loaves venture. This week includes plenty of our Cherry Bakewell fruitcake, with dried fruits and nuts soaked in cherry and almond liqueur before baking, then fed again while still warm from the oven. It gives the cakes a deep, rich flavour and helps preserve them naturally too, meaning they keep beautifully for months.

The cakes are available in the café by the slice to enjoy with a coffee or tea, or to take away. We also have whole round cakes available to purchase and take home with you — ideal to keep and enjoy gradually over the weeks ahead without needing to rush through them.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗸𝗲
This Sunday is also our monthly charity bake day with Johnny’s bagels and challah bread. Filled bagels will be available on the day alongside frozen sourdough loaves, with all proceeds going towards the Sheffield & Palestine Cultural Exchange charity.

Fresh sourdough loaves available Wednesday–Saturday.
Frozen loaves available Tuesdays & Sundays.
Fresh focaccia sandwiche

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗗 𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗦

This week’s loaf of the week is 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗮𝗿 — always one of the most popular, so it’s worth getting in early to avoid missing out. Available Wednesday–Saturday alongside the full sourdough range.

Frozen loaves are also available on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Our 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 will be on as usual Tuesday–Saturday, including: • Homemade hummus, sun-dried tomato, rocket & balsamic glaze
• Mature cheddar, tomato & basil

Pastries throughout the week as always, along with a new one from Welbeck that disappeared very quickly on Saturday — the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗶𝗻.

A laminated pastry somewhere between a croissant and a doughnut, with buttery layers, caramelised edges and a soft banoffee filling. Rich, sweet and very moreish.

Open Tuesday–Saturday 9am–5pm, and Sunday 9am–3pm.

Find us at 1 Lees Hall Avenue, hidden in the hedged courtyard next to Spinning Discs Record Shop, S8 9JE.

We've been making something special 🌼 Dandelion Honey 🍯
Naturally Vegan & so delicious 😊

If you're lucky, there might be some left for sale in cute little kilner jars in the café.

It's pure indulgence in a brew or drizzled on sourdough toast 💛

Notice the spirals made when it was changing form ✨
