I’ve made the decision to end my business. At first it was a very hard and sad decision to make but as I’ve had time to process it, I realise that this is in my best interests. I’ve worked so hard to get the business to where it is today over the last 2.5 years. In that time I have achieved so much and feel so proud of myself but I have lost a huge part of myself and both my mental and physical health has taken a hit. Owning a business on your own is hard!!
As so many people are aware, businesses are struggling right now and it’s the biggest fight to not only stay open financially but to have a healthy relationship with your own creation and workload. Instead of pushing forward to get through it, I look forward to a steadier life with other possibilities and prospects ahead!
I hope at some point to write more about the struggles of rising costs, in particular ingredients, and use this platform to share what I really love which is cafes, food, coffee and community!
This Friday I will be doing my last wholesale delivery. On the 26th I will be at and finally on the 27th at
For now I want to thank everyone who has been involved with Nevertheless Cakes including my family’s support, employees past and present, all the wonderful businesses I’ve supplied to, everyone who has bought cake from us and Matthew for giving me the opportunity to start the business in the first place!
THANK YOU, Ellen x
