It’s windy 🌬️, wet ☔️, cold 🥶 and miserable all week.

Curling up by the 🔥 in the evenings after work with some of these delightful bites sounds like just what the doctor ordered!

YESTERDAY! 🤣

The date completely slipped my mind! 14th April was when we officially announced our website was LIVE and ready to take orders.

I’m not even sure how many pineapples 🍍 Liam has cut during this time. It honestly feels like we have been baking for years. The lead up to when Liam was finally happy with his recipe and the bake times approved. We must’ve stuffed our faces with 100s of 🍍 tarts and shared with family and friends for critical feedback. Because at the end of the day it doesn’t matter if we find it good, it needs to be PERFECT. 👌

Our first Facebook post on a food group generated our first sales and we were shocked at the responses we received from the very first day. We sat in the study staring and refreshing the post and got our first orders from there - we called out to our daughter to share the news and all gave each other a High Five 🙌! We then all look at each other and said “Well we best get baking then!” 🤣

I remember how nervous Liam was when we had the EHO come for inspection. When we were awarded our 5 ⭐️ certificate and she left - we both let out a massive sigh of relief and as we shut the door we quietly jumped up and down whilst we hugged. I didn’t want to start screaming incase she heard. 🤣

Happy to say that we survived the first 6months and fingers crossed we keep going and keep growing. 💪

Thank you to our amazing community who have come back to us multiple times already in such a short space of time. We look forward to baking for all our existing customers and welcome new ones to try our delicious tarts.

Can’t believe it’s been so long since our last post! It’s been crazy busy over the last couple of months, the weeks have been flying by. Never know what day of the week it is. 🤪

We launched our coconut 🥥 flavour several weeks back and it’s been a huge success. We are delighted people have been trying them with great feedback so we are over the moon about that.

I’m also quietly experimenting on a new flavour but it’s very early days! So stay tuned. 🤭

As always though thank you to our great little community and supporters who are helping Humbl Bites grow. ❤️

I was one of the lucky ones. Growing up, a trip back to Singapore always meant a suitcase packed with pineapple tarts, rationed carefully once we got home because we knew they wouldn’t last. 🍍

Not everyone gets to make that trip though. And that’s really why I started making these.
Years of tweaking, testing, and eating far too many later, I finally landed on a pineapple tart that tastes like the ones I remember.

Buttery, melt in the mouth pastry with slow cooked fresh pineapple jam.

So if home feels a little far away sometimes, maybe these help bring it a bit closer. 🍍

We’ve been a little quiet here because we took a proper break in Hong Kong. 🇭🇰

It’s a city that seems to move at full speed. Busy streets, late nights, incredible food and always something happening. We loved the energy, but it’s also lovely to return home to the slower rhythm of baking.

We came back feeling refreshed and went almost immediately from Hong Kong’s skyline to making our first fresh pineapple tarts.

The classic pineapple tart has finally landed in the UK! 🍍🇬🇧

Buttery pastry topped around fresh pineapple jam that we slow cook for hours until it’s deep and golden. We double bake every tart so the buttery flavour really comes through, and use all butter, no preservatives, baked by hand in small batches.

We’ve been so incredibly grateful for the 5-star Google reviews from customers who try them, love them, and keep coming back for more! 💛

It’s been a real joy reading these. 🍍
