Thank you for another amazing weekend. I'm so greatful for you guys turning up week after week and for all your lovely comments and messages. I just wanted to remind you that the Bake Shed will be closed for a couple of weeks, while I enjoy the rest of the summer holidays and picnic season with the kids. However, I will also be busy planning and recipe testing lots of Autumn bakes. So make sure you drop me a follow for sneak peaks of what I'll be stocking the Shed when I reopen in September.

Something new this week; Cake Pots. A really sugar lovers treat! We have Black Forest with a chocolate sponge, fresh cherries, vanilla buttercream, dark chocolate chunks and cherry conserve. Then a Victoria Sponge Cake Pot with layers of vanilla sponge, vanilla buttercream, strawberry jam and of course, fresh strawberries. The Bake Shed is open today from 9am and when they're gone they're gone. Find these along with plenty of cakes, brownies, scones and muffins at the corner of Main Street and Water Lane, Hemingbrough, YO8 6QE.

Here is the menu for Sunday 16th August. No bread this week, but I do have a selection of sweet and savoury treats to round up your weekend.

Find us on the corner of Main Street and Water Lane from 9am. The weather is meant to get a bit cooler tomorrow, but I will manage the stock and pop cool blocks in. I may close early if it does continue to be warm and may keep some stock inside, but I'll keep you updated. Make sure you follow for updates. Remember that we will be closed for a couple of weeks so feel free to stock up 😀

Cake, Pool Bridge Farm and sunshine. Not a bad way to spend a day!

Some say that they don't want cake on a hot day, but this Coconut Cake with Mango Curd and Coconut Lime Buttercream certainly hit the spot after a long swim round Monet and M Lake. And of course I had to bring a focaccia and picky bits. Even the ducks were trying to get some. Get your own picnic Bake Shed in Hemingbrough on Sundays. And I still have a couple of slices of the Coconut Cake for pick up today or tomorrow. A perfect summer treat!

Would anyone like a Friday or Saturday cake? I have a small number of these Coconut Cakes for sale on today (Friday) and Saturday if anyone would like one. It encompasses all the flavours of summer and a perfect heatwave desert; a coconut sponge, topped with lime and coconut buttercream and mango curd (Contains Gluten, Soya, Sulphites). These are a result of my recipe testing but would not survive the hot weather of the shed, so doing them for door collection only (Hemingbrough). £3.50 per portion.
