🌸 Flower 2 of 4… and this one has a LOT going on! 🌸

Technically, calling this one a single flower feels like cheating. 😂

At the centre is a big pink buttercream peony, surrounded by tiny buds, delicate purple flowers and lots of little leaves — all squeezed onto one cupcake. 🧁

I love creating these because they add so much texture to a finished bouquet. From a distance you see a pretty arrangement, but up close there are so many tiny details you might not notice at first. 🥰

And yep… every last petal, bud and leaf is piped by hand.

When you see a finished cupcake bouquet, it’s easy to take in the whole thing without noticing just how much detail goes into each individual cupcake.

So I thought I’d give the flowers their own little moment. 🥰

First up, these soft blush buttercream roses. 🌹

Each one is piped petal by petal, building up the layers until a cupcake somehow starts looking like an actual flower — which still feels a little bit like magic to me. 😂🧁

These were just one of the flowers that made up a larger bouquet, and over my next few posts I’m going to show you the others before revealing how they all looked together. 💐

Sometimes you need something with a little more drama. 😍

Bold red and black buttercream, finished with metallic silver details — simple, striking and VERY hard to ignore!

One of the things I love most about cupcakes is how completely different they can look just by switching up the colours and piping styles.

I love making birthday orders that are actually based around the person receiving them — their favourite team, hobby, colours or whatever they’re completely obsessed with at the time! 😂

Because let’s face it… at 12, a box of cupcakes with your own name and number on is much cooler than flowers. 😉

This gorgeous cupcake bouquet was filled with hand-piped blooms in the prettiest dusky pinks, soft lilacs and creams — almost too pretty to eat… almost! 😂

🌸 Who says a milestone birthday needs a traditional cake? 🌸

This gorgeous 60th birthday cupcake display was created entirely from individually decorated floral cupcakes. 🧁

Soft pinks, fresh yellows, creams and greenery all brought together to create those huge 6️⃣0️⃣ numbers — and I absolutely loved seeing this one come together!

It’s such a lovely option for a big birthday or anniversary because it still gives you that real centrepiece moment, but everyone can simply grab their own cupcake. No cutting, no plates, no arguing over who got the biggest slice. 😂

And once the cupcakes start disappearing, so does the number! ❤️

🌸 Just buttercream… and a LOT of piping! 🧁

Sometimes you need to see the cupcakes before they’re arranged into a bouquet to appreciate all those little details. 🥰

Peonies, hydrangeas, tiny buds, delicate petals and leaves — every flower is individually hand-piped in buttercream, one petal at a time.

No moulds. No ready-made flowers. Just me, a piping bag and probably far too much concentration. 😂

I think the pinks and lilacs might be one of my favourite colour combinations too. 💕💜

I thought it was probably time I popped my face on the grid again and said hello! 😂

I’m Hayley, the baker (and chief washer-upper, photographer, message-answerer, buttercream maker and general everything-doer!) behind Peace of Cake. ❤️

From my kitchen in Sedgley, I create everything from my signature cupcake bouquets and buttercream florals to personalised cupcakes and celebration cakes — and every single order is made by me.

What started as a love of baking has turned into this little business, and there’s something pretty special about knowing that my cakes get to be part of your birthdays, anniversaries, thank-yous and all those other moments worth celebrating. 🥰

I absolutely loved the colours in this bouquet — bold pinks, sunny yellows and lots of tiny hand-piped details bringing the whole thing together. 🥰

One of my favourite things about creating cupcake bouquets is that no two ever have to be the same. Different colours, different flowers, completely different feel!

And yes… every single flower you can see here is buttercream. 🧁
