Hey Gooeylicious fam 💛

I owe you all a big apology for the radio silence and the serious lack of Gooeylicious cake pics lately. Life has been very full over here juggling three young children and my ‘day job’, and something had to give for a little while.

On top of that, ingredient costs just keep rising at an astonishing rate. As much as I’d love baking to be a full-time thing, it just isn’t sustainable right now. My priority has to be providing for our beautiful family, and that’s meant stepping back more than I ever planned to.

That said… baking is my passion. I absolutely love making people happy with my bakes, and I’m not ready to give it up entirely 🤍
What this does mean is that for the foreseeable future I’ll be doing select bakes only and taking limited orders.

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to stop making bespoke birthday and celebration cakes. They take an enormous amount of time, effort and money, and unless I significantly increased prices, I’d continue to make a loss on every single one.

The good news? 🎉
I will still be doing certain events this year – these are some of my absolute favourite things to do because I love seeing, meeting and chatting with you all in person.

If there’s enough interest, I’ll also look at doing pre-sale boxes for occasions like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, Halloween and more.

Good Morning Sapcote!!! 🌞 The weather may be a bit touch and go today but Gooeylicious has a fully stocked stall ready for the AAll Saints Sapcote PTFASummer Fair today 11-2pm- wait till you see all the goodies I have made 😁😋Come down and join in the fun, there is lots to do and see.

🌞 🌧 Summer Fiesta 🌧 🌞

Our SUMMER FIESTA is STILL GOING AHEAD come rain or shine. School has been brilliant and worked with us to get PTFA stalls and some craft stalls indoors following this weekends forecast!

Come along and get an ice cream 🍦 from Glyn’s Super Whippy. Crafts stallers include Gooeylicious, Jenny Birkby's pottery, KidsLingo, Sapcote WI, In Partnership with Usborne - Katie's Brilliant Bookshop, Keely's Hair Creations, Pencils By Carla, Tania with macrame items,Susie and Susannah with beautiful wreaths. PTFA stalls, games, refreshments and quite a few pupils running their own stalls trying to hit their target with the Cobley 20.25 Challenge. NOT TO BE MISSED.

*If there’s room, Jen Birkby pottery will also be doing a play with clay activity where you can make your own clay creature, which you can take away with you or she can fire 🔥 and glaze it for you!*

Funds raised will still go towards our Big Outdoor Project as well as funding other pupil enhancing experiences during the year!!!

Well what an amazing afternoon….what can I say but this is where it all started today at Grove Road Schools' PTFA spring Fair with a fully packed and stocked stall and it very quickly turn into an absolute sell out 😱😂🙈 what an amazing start to the season 🥳

Thank you so much to everyone who came to see me today, I hope you have enjoyed your Gooeylicious bakes and cakes ☺️

Note to self: make even more bakes next year 🤣🤣🤣🙌🙈🙈🙈

A Very Special Cake for a Very Special Lady! ❤️

This past weekend, I had the absolute joy of creating this elegant two-tier cake for my amazing Nan’s 80th birthday — and it was truly a labor of love!

The design features a soft ivory top tier paired with a pastel lilac base, adorned with delicate piping and fresh florals in shades of purple, white, and blush. A gold "Happy Birthday" topper and shimmering "80" numerals added the perfect celebratory touch.

As for the flavours — the top tier was a classic but delicious vanilla sponge, while the bottom tier was an indulgent chocolate cake paired with silky white chocolate buttercream. Rich, sweet, and full of love in every bite!

My Nan is one of the strongest, kindest women I know — full of love, wisdom, and quiet strength. Creating this cake for her was more than just a birthday celebration — it was a thank you for all the love and inspiration she’s given me over the years.

Happy 80th, Nan — your warmth and resilience inspire everything Gooeylicious stands for.

🐾 PAW-some Cupcakes for a Special Birthday! 🐾

Check out this recent order of 30 delicious PAW Patrol-themed cupcakes we made at Gooeylicious! 🎂🧁 Each cupcake was topped with a colorful swirl of buttercream, fun rainbow sprinkles, and an edible print of the birthday child's favorite characters—Chase, Skye, Zuma, Rocky, Rubble, and Marshall!

We also created a special centerpiece cupcake with the birthday girl's name, Edith, and a little golden star to mark her 3rd birthday! 🌟
