🌸 A little floral detail from this weekend’s wedding cake…

This elegant two-tier wedding cake was finished with a cascade of sugar flowers in soft blush pinks and creams.

The smaller sugar flowers were supplied by the mother of the bride, with two larger sugar roses handmade by me to complete the arrangement and give the floral cascade a little more impact. 🌹

I love how the finished flowers sit against the simple ivory buttercream — and that gorgeous floral hoop at the venue couldn't have complemented the cake more perfectly. ✨

One of the things I love about creating bespoke wedding cakes is being able to work with what has already been chosen or supplied, and then add those extra details needed to bring the finished design together.

🍓 TREAT TUESDAY 🍓

One last taste of summer… ☀️

My Eton Mess Traybake is a soft vanilla cake topped with a layer of strawberries, plenty of whipped cream, then finished with more fresh strawberries and crunchy pieces of meringue. 🍓🤍

It’s one of those simple combinations that just works — light, fresh, creamy and always a popular choice at my summer events.

Sunday’s Party on Potton was most likely its final outing for this year as we head into autumn, but don’t worry… Eton Mess will be back next summer! ☀️

For now, I think it’s time to make way for some slightly cosier flavours… 🍂👀

🍒 NEW: Cherry Bakewell Cookie Dough Roll 🍒

The latest Cookie Dough Roll is complete… and this one genuinely tastes just like a Cherry Bakewell! 😍

It starts with a soft almond cookie dough packed with white chocolate chips, filled with a layer of almond cream and Morello cherry compote.

It's then finished with a drizzle of white chocolate, flaked almonds and a glacé cherry for that classic Cherry Bakewell finish. 🍒🤍

And you won't have long to wait to try it...

✨ The Cherry Bakewell Cookie Dough Roll will be making its debut at Party on Potton this Sunday!

It'll be available by the slice alongside plenty of my other bakes and treats.

I have a feeling this one is going to be a popular one. 💕

TREAT TUESDAY 🍪

Not everything featured on Treat Tuesday needs to be new… some treats have already earned their place on the menu! 🤎

My Nutella Stuffed Cookies are one of those treats that always prove popular — a chunky chocolate chip cookie with a generous Nutella centre. 😍

And they'll be back alongside another firm favourite, my Apple Crumble Stuffed Cookies, as part of the Frosted Sky line-up at Party on Potton on Sunday 30th August.

Just look at that centre… 👀🤎

🌸 From sugar paste to sugar flower…

A little glimpse at the different stages that go into creating one of my handcrafted sugar flowers.

From individually cut and shaped petals, to the assembled flower, and finally the hand-painted details that add colour, depth and bring it all to life. 🌸

Sugar flowers take time and patience to create, but I love seeing the transformation from those first individual petals to the finished flower.

One of the things I love about sugar flowers is just how versatile they can be. Colours, sizes and styles can all be adapted to complement the overall cake design, creating something that feels completely at home on the finished cake. 🤍
