MEET THE TEAM- MCC MACHINE GANG 🚧🖤

Today, we're shining a spotlight on our Machine Lay Tarmac Gang from Manchester – the team behind some of the quality surfacing work delivered by MCC Surfacing. 👏

Whether it's an early start, a long shift, or a job that needs doing right the first time, this crew turns up ready to get it done.

Together, they keep the job moving from start to finish, working as a team to deliver smooth, high-quality results for our clients. From setting levels and operating the paver to rolling the finished surface, everyone plays their part in keeping the wheels turning.

They make laying tarmac look easy—but don't be fooled, there's a lot of skill, experience, and enough banter to keep the whole site entertained. 😂🚧

Manchester might be known for its football teams, but we reckon this is one of the best teams to come out of the city. 😆⚽🚧

And if we're being honest, they hate it when I turn up on site with a camera in hand. 📸😂 But it didn't sit right leaving these lads out of our Meet the Team posts. They put in the hard graft behind some of our best work, and it's only right they get the recognition they deserve. 👏🚧🖤

MEET THE TEAM- SALLYANN🚛🚧

Say hello to Sallyann, our Transport Manager and the driving force behind keeping our fleet moving safely and efficiently across the business. 👏

Sallyann plays a vital role in our day-to-day operations, overseeing our entire fleet and ensuring every vehicle is where it needs to be, exactly when it needs to be there. From coordinating schedules and organising routine maintenance to managing compliance, and staying on top of all our O licence requirements, she keeps everything running like clockwork behind the scenes.

If a van breaks down or needs attention, Sallyann is straight on it—arranging repairs, sourcing parts, and making sure it's back on the road as quickly as possible. 🚚🔧

Her dedication helps ensure our operations here at MCC Surfacing remain safe, compliant, and running smoothly every day!

MEET THE TEAM - SARAH🌿🚧

Meet Sarah, our Office Manager, chief organiser, and the person who somehow knows where absolutely everything is at all times 😅📞

From sorting orders and organising deliveries to arranging training and keeping the whole office ticking over, Sarah is the definition of an all-rounder.

You’ll usually find her in her usual office spot, answering phone calls while working across TWO computer screens like she’s launching NASA missions 🚀💻💻

She’s also known for always having a lunch box full of fruit ready to dish out if anyone’s feeling peckish 🍎🍌😂

We’re still not sure how she manages to answer the phone, reply to emails, organise deliveries, and keep everyone in line all at the same time… but somehow she does it daily 👏

Thank you for all your hard work and dedication, Sarah — your contribution to the team is truly appreciated. 🙌

* Previous surfacing experience essential
* CSCS card essential
* Full UK driving licence
* Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
* Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality work

Meet Alana Pilip — our Social Media Queen, showing off our talented workers at their best 📸

She’s on site every week chasing them about with a camera… despite them insisting they’re camera shy. Rain, wind, sideways rain — doesn’t matter. Alana’s there getting the content.

You’ll spot her straight away — pink hard hat… the only one on site, so there’s no missing her 🎀

Matcha in hand, always on the move, and somehow still managing to keep everything in check.

Behind the scenes, Alana does far more than just capture the action. She creates all our social media content, looks after the team’s welfare, manages holidays, and sorts all our recruitment 👏

She’s known for her attention to detail — from her perfectly organised PPE bags to somehow always having a cloth and polish ready for a quick clean-up (we’re convinced she has a secret pocket).

Always on the go (and always hungry), she’s usually trying to sneak a bite of everyone’s snacks — and still manages to be the most glamorous person on site while doing it.

Meet Kate, our Accounts Manager and the woman who keeps the numbers in check!🔢

You’ll usually find Kate behind a laptop screen tackling invoices, payments, spreadsheets, and all things accounts… whether that’s working from home or setting up office at the local play barn with a coffee in one hand and emails in the other ☕💻

From keeping the paperwork under control to making sure everything adds up properly. Kate plays a huge part of the organisation behind the scenes, helping keep MCC Surfacing & Groundworks running smoothly every single day 👌🏼

We’re not entirely sure what’s louder — Matt’s phone constantly ringing in the office, him taking calls at full volume, or the play barn during school holidays — but somehow Kate manages all three! 😂👏
