🍽️ Did you know...?
We’re proud to be approved by the Food Standards Agency to provide delicious, home-cooked meals for our little villagers! Our menus are carefully planned in line with the Setting the Table guidance, ensuring every meal is nutritious, balanced, and full of flavour.
We offer a varied 4-week rolling menu, packed with wholesome favourites, and every six months we refresh our recipes to introduce new tastes and seasonal dishes, keeping mealtimes exciting and enjoyable for everyone.
Home cooking is at the heart of what we do because it creates wonderful opportunities for children to be involved every step of the way. One of our favourite traditions is Pizza Friday, where children roll their own dough, prepare fresh vegetables, and choose their own toppings. These hands-on experiences encourage children’s voices and choices, while also supporting the development of fine motor skills, confidence, and independence in a fun and meaningful way.
Mealtimes are about much more than eating. Our little villagers play an active role by helping to set the table, serving themselves, plating up their meals, and clearing away afterwards. Self-serving encourages children to recognise their own hunger and fullness cues, make choices about their portions, and develop valuable life skills in a supportive environment.
Our practitioners sit alongside the children, sharing conversations and creating a calm, relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels included. Support is offered only when needed, allowing each child to build confidence, develop independence, and take pride in what they can do for themselves.
At the heart of every mealtime is the opportunity to learn, connect, and enjoy nutritious food together—helping our little villagers grow in confidence, develop lifelong skills, and create happy memories around the table.

This is an incredible milestone for our small business and one that we're immensely proud to celebrate. Since officially opening our doors in June 2025, we've worked tirelessly to create a welcoming, nurturing, and inspiring environment for every child and family who walks through our doors.

To receive recognition through these award nominations is not only a testament to how far we've come in such a short space of time, but also a reflection of the dedication, passion, professionalism, and care shown by every member of our amazing team each and every day.

Our team goes above and beyond to provide the highest quality of care and education, and these nominations recognise the commitment, hard work, and genuine love they bring to their roles. We couldn't have achieved this without their unwavering support, enthusiasm, and belief in our vision.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful children, families, and wider community. Your trust, encouragement, and continued support have played such an important part in our journey, and we're so grateful to have you alongside us.

Our child-led approach to learning is carefully planned around the Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition, ensuring every child is supported to become confident, capable and curious learners. We believe childhood should be filled with wonder, exploration and meaningful experiences that develop independence, well-being and a lifelong love of learning.

From building and creating in our construction area, getting hands-on with messy play, relaxing and regulating emotions in our calming sensory room, curling up with a story in our cosy corner, to exploring our brand new outdoor garden and adventure spaces, there’s something to spark every child’s imagination and interests. Our outdoor area has been transformed to encourage creative play, sensory exploration and outdoor learning, with sand play, mud and digging opportunities, role play resources and exciting spaces to discover every day.

We are passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences that support children’s individual interests and developmental needs, helping them grow in confidence while having lots of fun along the way. 🎭 Our puppet show for under 5s is back this weekend!✨

We're so excited to be performing Drift again at Kelburn Castle and Country Centre

Join Puffin on a magical seaside adventure filled with live music, puppetry, storytelling and sensory play... and discover WHAT could be hidden inside Puffin's mysterious treasure chest...

Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th.
Performances at 10.30am and 2.00pm each day

After each performance there will be drop in art sessions - stay for 5 mins or create a masterpiece! 🎨🫟🌈⭐️☀️🌳

✨ All activities are included with your entry to Kelburn.

It was wonderful to meet the team and parents to share information about the support, activities and groups available within our community, and connect with parents in such a welcoming environment.

Events like these are a great opportunity to build relationships, raise awareness of local services, and ensure families know where they can turn for support, friendship and connection.
