One of my favourite things to do is visit Betty's Tea Rooms in Northallerton and have a Fat Rascal. They are lush!

Here's my attempt, recipe from www.lavenderandlovage.com and they're pretty close to the real thing!
Perfect warm from the oven with lashings of butter and raspberry jam!

When you tell your son you fancy baking and he challenges you to make thank you treat boxes for his teachers.... with brownies, cookies and cupcakes!

Challenge accepted 🙃
These have a 4" square mini Brownie Slab, 2 x vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and 2 x chocolate chip cookies.

I hadn't baked this much in ages and although I enjoyed it, I was exhausted by the end if it all... I mean who has 4 teachers?! lol

Can't believe he leaves primary school today... I have no idea where the years have gone and I feel old!

Baking therapy today...

These peanut butter triple chocolate brownies are lush, gooey and SO chocolatey with the saltiness and crunch of peanut butter. And best of all you'd never know they're gluten free!

I'll post the recipe in comments for anyone who wants to have a go at making them. I'd love to know how yours turn out!

The original recipe is from She Who Bakes. I've tweaked the recipe to make these gluten free and added in the peanut butter.

Double chocolate and peanut butter cookies... absolutely delicious and gluten free!

Here's the recipe (from BBC Good Food - I've adapted it to be gluten free and changed sugar quantities)

100g unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
80g light brown sugar
80g caster sugar
1 large egg, beaten
150g gluten free self-raising flour (I used Asda's own)
1/4 tsp xantham gum
3 tbsp cocoa powder
¼ tsp salt
100g milk chocolate and 100g dark chocolate chopped into chunks
85g peanut butter (crunchy or smooth, I used a mix of both)
Sprinkle of himalayan pink salt or sea salt

Hi guys sorry I've been a bit quiet of late; I've been debating the future of my little cake venture.

It's been an amazing time and I've loved making cakes for each and every one of you yet this past year has been hard and pushed me to consider what I'm doing ...

I absolutely adore every thing cake and baking is a great thing for me, yet my family and family time is what's important... and with a full time job alongside Bodelicious I know I can't keep doing it all!

Thank you for all of your orders, the 5000 plus likers and followers of my page, and most important of all, thank you to my wonderful customers.

My page will remain and I'll still share cakes and bakes, along with recipes and other things cake related but I won't be taking any orders for the foreseeable future and my order book will remain closed.
