When you pay for a cake, you’re not just paying for flour, sugar, eggs and chocolate. You’re also paying for the time, skill, experience, creativity and care that goes into making it. ❤️
Some cakes can take 10, 15 or even more hours to create, before you even factor in boards, boxes, electricity, equipment and all the other costs of running a small business.
Every cake maker prices their work differently, and we all have different styles and experience.
If a cake is outside your budget, that’s absolutely okay — please just find a cake maker whose prices work for you. 😊 There’s no need to criticise or undervalue someone’s work.
Behind every handmade cake is a small business and a person who has put a lot of time and love into creating it. 🎂❤️❤️
