Hello everyone, just to say a big thank you to everyone who has interacted with this page since I started the Country Mile Kitchen!

As you are probably aware, I've gone very quiet - it's nothing sinister, but I have decided to take a bit of a change in direction after dipping my toe back into a field I'm much more familiar with.

So, I'm hanging up my pinny, but want to say how very grateful I have been for all your support and friendship and giggles at Country Mile Kitchen! You've been amazing peeps!

When you have floury fingers, add beginner's video skills, it can add up to a bit of a disaster when making a planned video. See this week's video in the Bake Off group for evidence. At least you know it's (a) honest (b) made in real life and (c) consistent.

The Challah won the vote this week, so you are in for a treat if you head over to the bake off group for the recipe. It's a sweet recipe, which I think would go down rather well over the bank holiday weekend. Gorgeous served warm with jam and coffee. But don't just take my word for it, have a try yourself if you have some time to potter in the kitchen.

Ready for the bake off? Here's the Pain de Campagna , toasted and topped with avocado, tomato with chilli. It's GOOD! 😊 Remember tomorrow is 'Bring a friend Friday', so if you have a friend who would enjoy baking along, please like, share and get them to join the bake off group! If you are following the bake off group recipes....then Friday's video will be worth a watch for comedy value alone. I managed to drop the phone while filming, into the dough. Doh. 🤣😆😂
