I think the ferry was more reliable than St Helens buses today (switch over day to the new Metro buses which had a few teething problems!) so Elaine's walking group heading over to Seacombe had the right idea - catching a train and ferry was definitely the easier option!

They enjoyed a brisk 3.5 mile walk along the seafront and had lunch and refreshments along the way. Elaine met a new little friend too who didn't have much to say ...
Q: What did the sea say to the pirate?
A: Nothing... it just waved.

A great start to our Friday activities this morning at the Visitor Centre Taylor Park St Helens when Sylvia led the beginners art class in a guided charcoal session to produce fabulous woodland scenes. She's a very talented teacher and her enthusiasm is so infectious, we are very grateful for the time and effort she puts into these sessions! 🎨

The day will continue this afternoon at Earlestown Nine Arches when the first job will be for Eric to sample that the goods are ok and for him to give the thumbs up... Its a hard life but someone has to do it and Eric1 and Eric2 get our thanks for their stirling efforts too 🤣🍻

To everyone going along, enjoy the afternoon, and thank you to everyone who came along this morning making it a such a success.
