Look. At. These. No, your eyes do not deceive you. MMB is now selling Hot Cross Buns.

You’d think this is not such a big deal. We are a bakery after all. But we’ve always liked to do things our own way and Sally’s Easter Buns fill the Easter-Sweet-Dough-Based-Treat gap in a pretty epic way.

But 2023 is proving to be a year of change at MMB and with that comes these little beauties.

And these aren’t just any Hot Cross Buns. We’ve put our MMB spin on them by using our favourite Panela Sugar from 𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗥𝗔𝗪 FOODS and some of the beautiful heriatge grains flour from Duchess Farms down the road. Both add beautiful flavour and depth throughout THE most light and billowy dough.

You’re going to enjoy these so much, I promise.

Available tomorrow (Saturday) and then every day we are open up until Easter (for which I hope to set up a pre-order option too).

This Mother’s Ruin Saucisson is a best-selling, brilliant last minute stocking filler.

Inspired by turn-of-the-century Gin Distillers and the London ladies that made them infamous. This dry-cured sausage sings of Juniper, Fennel Seed and features healthy lashings of a London-made Chardonnay (currently from Renegade Urban Winery in Bethnal Green). It’s bright, fresh and perfect for remembering that everyone needs to let loose once in a while.

I can vouch that once opened, it doesn’t stick around for long.

** The Best Stilton In Saffron Walden **

It’s a bold statement, I know, but I believe it to be true. Those of you that get our newsletters will know that we took receipt of this wheel of Colston Bassett Stilton from earlier this week. Because how nice would it be to get a hunk of freshly cut Stilton to take home with you when you pop in for your Christmas sourdough and mince pies?

And this isn’t just any old Stilton. This recipe is made exclusively for Neal’s Yard Dairy. It is a little more creamy, a little sweeter and a lot more melt-in-your-mouth-y than your average Stilton that you’ll buy elsewhere. As Sally said earlier - it’s like a disco in your mouth🕺. Sounds good right?

We will have this on the counter from this Friday through until Christmas Eve. Sadly we can’t do tastings at the moment what with Covid but just trust me on this one. It’s. Incredible. And… it will be deeelicious all the way through into the New Year.

After it’s huge popularity at our event a couple of weeks ago we have got some more of the wonderful Gorwydd Caerphilly back at MMB today.

A densely crumbly centre presenting fresh, lemony flavours gives way to a creamy, more mushroomy layer beneath the edible rind – the happy result of this Caerphilly being matured for longer than most Caerphilly cheeses made today.

Limited in stock and perfect for Christmas so grab a piece now whilst it’s still available.
