A MESSAGE FROM MEGAN
After much deliberation, consideration, reflection, contemplation (I could go on) I have made the difficult, but right, decision to bring to an end my role at MMB. Yesterday I resigned as Director of the business.
From making my first loaf of sourdough at home, opening the bakery on Church Street and surviving Covid, right up until my final Rambings a few months ago, it really has been quite the journey. I have learnt so much, I have been tested to limits I didn’t know I had, I have laughed hard and cried buckets. Setting up and growing a business is a privilege and I am so proud of MMB and the community we have built.
Despite having many aspirations and goals for MMB which I, personally, will no longer pursue, the decision I have made is the right one for myself, my family and my sanity. HA! It is time to step back and let a new chapter at MMB begin with Jeff at the helm and his wonderful team supporting him. I really do wish them all the very best of luck; I am excited to watch with interest to see how the business evolves.
I will end by saying thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you that has supported my fumbled adventure along the way. Many of you who bought loaves on my doorstep in the early months still visit the bakery every week. Some of you have never visited but have been cheering us on from a distance. The messages and hugs I got when we had to close the cafe got me through the hardest period of my life and I will never forget the the kindness and generosity of the MMB community that has kept the MMB dream alive.
And long may that dream continue! Thank you again. It’s been wild.
