The story behind Gladys May Cakery

Gladys May Cakery offers professional and bespoke cakes, cupcakes and biscuits for all occasions on the Isle of Wight, all hand crafted and decorated by myself, Cara.

I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2012, with a superior Patisserie diploma and a certificate in cake decorating. Having worked in the industry as a pastry chef for several years, I decided to follow my passion for baking and start up my own bakery in January 2017, named after my grandmother, Gladys May. I specialize in fondant, sugarpaste and buttercream and hand crafts every element of my cakes, making each one special and original.
