✨Neil and EIaine 30.5.26✨
🤍 I first met Neil several years ago, under heartbreaking circumstances - he had not long been widowed and I had the very sad and precious task of leading his wife S’s funeral
🤍 So imagine my delight when he contacted me last year, to tell me that life had thrown him another curve ball - but this time, in the best possible way - as he had, by chance, met the wonderful Elaine
🤍 He’d fallen for her, asked her to marry him, she’d said yes and he wanted her to meet me - because he wanted me to conduct their wedding ceremony
🤍 Our meeting was arranged - we chatted over coffee - we hit it off immediately and their beautiful wedding was mine to conduct
🤍Honoured and over the moon to see them incredibly happy together, is an understatement!
🤍 During their ceremony, Neil’s first wife was mentioned and remembered with love - with his new wedding ring forged of the gold and diamonds from the engagement ring he’d given S all those years ago - a reminder of their loving partnership and all that time shared with S - a physical token of their bond - with Elaine’s blessing and her wonderful understanding and appreciation of that essential part of Neil’s life
🤍 A full circle moment for me for sure - and a very emotional occasion, full of understanding, joy, respect, reflection, optimism and hope for the future
🤍 This role really is the greatest privilege and these moments, filled with responsibility and gratitude, are truly life affirming
🤍 Wishing these newlyweds so much love and every happiness for the future - they absolutely deserve the best things in life ✨
📸 So good to meet and work alongside the lovely
