Always good tips......

I made this sourdough starter in TWO DAYS.

Show off, I know 😬

Fact is, if you mix flour (in my case RYE) and water it WILL ferment. It just will. So long as it’s warm enough (around 23c here at the moment).

Once you know the principles and understand what you are doing and WHY, sourdough is a breeze. I promise. Sure it’ll take some practice but hey, doesn’t EVERYTHING?

I've finally got around to updating my website, and now this page... as a few of you know, I've decided not to run my courses for the foreseeable future as I am still battling with inflammatory arthritis....and really need to get that well and truly under control. I will still keep this page, and my website, and will continue to post about REAL bread.... hoping to encourage you to eat it and make it! Always happy to hear from you all - and respond to queries, or as I have done today with an emergency request for starter!!
