A little look back at Tilly & Joe’s wedding at Aston Hall.

Their wedding cake was just one part of the dessert table, surrounded by all the little treats for their guests to enjoy.

And honestly, this is one of my favourite things about creating wedding cakes. It doesn’t always have to be just about the cake. You can make the whole dessert table feel completely personal to you and your day.

And yes… there are plenty of brownies in there because I don’t think I could ever do a dessert table without them 😂🤎

The brownie recipe everyone asks me for 🤎

These are the brownies that always disappear first from a dessert table. Fudgy, chocolatey, ridiculously indulgent and honestly one of the recipes I get asked for the most.

Even better, my friends have started making them too, so I figured it was about time I shared the recipe properly!

Perfect for a dessert table, a weekend bake or just because you fancy something very chocolatey.

Some weddings just stay with you. ♡

Adam & Elisabeth wanted a cake that felt timeless with a modern twist.

The brief was beautifully simple…

Three elegant tiers in a soft mint cream finish, delicate green brushstrokes and bold white florals that made a statement without overwhelming the design.

From our very first conversation to delivering and styling everything at Ringwood Hall, every detail was thoughtfully planned to create a cake that felt completely at home within their day.

Reading messages like this afterwards never gets old…

“It was both delicious to eat and beautiful to look at.”

Because that’s always the goal.

A wedding cake should be more than beautiful. It should become part of the memories too. ♡

Not one wedding cake. Six. ♡

When we started planning our wedding, I knew one thing for certain…

I couldn’t choose just one cake.

As a wedding cake designer, every style inspires me for a different reason, and I wanted our wedding to celebrate that. So instead of one centrepiece, we created a cake parade.

Each bridesmaid carried a different cake into the room, each one matching the colour of her dress and each one completely unique in design. My own cake was the final one to arrive, before we all lined them up together.

Watching our guests’ reactions is something I’ll never forget.

Then came the best part…

Instead of cutting one large cake, we cut our own little wedding cake while our guests were served slices from all of the others as dessert. Everyone had something beautiful to look at and something delicious to eat.

It wasn’t traditional.

It wasn’t expected.

But it was so us.

Creating wedding cakes has always been about telling a couple’s story, and for one day, I got to tell ours. 🤍

Did someone say CAKE PARADE!!!
Yes it was me…… I said it!! Why have just one wedding cake when you can have 6 taken on parade by the bridal party. This was one of my favourite part of my wedding. Getting to create something unique to me, each cake matched the bridesmaids dress and was piped differently. And wow what a vibe!!

Please someone else cook me to do this!!!

One of my favourite moments… 🍋🤍

Not the cake arriving.

This.

Watching a bride see her wedding cake properly for the first time.

The excitement, the little details being pointed out, the bridesmaids gathering around, and that smile when it all comes together exactly as they’d imagined.

This Italian summer inspired design was finished with soft textured buttercream, hand-painted buttercream leaves, fresh lemons and delicate greenery. Simple, elegant and full of warmth.

Designing a wedding cake is about so much more than creating something beautiful. It’s about creating a moment.

One that becomes part of the memories you’ll look back on long after the last slice has disappeared. ♡
