Not every wedding cake needs to be delicate and minimal.

Sometimes it’s bold florals, flowing texture, rich colours and a design that completely owns the room. This cake felt modern, artistic and a little bit wild in the best possible way 🌺

The combination of soft ivory buttercream against those deep wine tones and blush florals was honestly a dream to create. I love when couples lean into something a little unexpected and full of personality.

There’s something about deep reds, soft blush tones and delicate piping that feels both dramatic and romantic all at once.

This cake was designed to feel sculptural and editorial, with flowing texture, trailing florals and a softness that still makes a statement. One of those designs that looks completely different from every angle and honestly… I’m obsessed with the movement in these flowers 🌺

All white will never go out of style 🤍

I think sometimes people hear “modern wedding” and instantly think bold colours or dramatic styling… but modern can still feel soft, timeless and romantic too.

This setup was all about texture, shape and styling. Clean white florals, soft draping, delicate details and a cake that still felt contemporary without needing lots of colour.

The texture, the movement, the way it breaks up a classic shape and makes it feel completely different. It’s not overly neat, not overly structured… and that’s exactly why it works.

I think this is definitely becoming my thing.

Soft, slightly undone, a bit more modern… and still romantic without feeling too traditional.

No sharp edges, no harsh lines, just soft movement all the way through. It’s giving effortless, but still something a bit different.

The kind of cake that doesn’t need loads adding to it… it just stands there quietly doing its thing and still catches your eye.

These are the designs I keep coming back to lately. A little less traditional, a little more fluid, and a lot more personality.

The movement in this cake… I can’t get over it.

All those soft folds and waves, it almost feels like fabric rather than buttercream. It’s one of those designs that looks simple at first, but the closer you get the more there is to take in.

And paired with those soft pink tones running through the florals… it just works. Not too polished, not too structured, just a bit more natural and flowing.

I love creating cakes like this where it’s less about being “perfect” and more about how it feels.

Hi, I’m Tasha.
Cake maker. Bride to be. Professional over-thinker about colour palettes and piping detail.

I make wedding cakes for a living… and right now I’m planning my own wedding too. So when I say I get it, I really get it. The spreadsheets. The mood boards. The excitement. The “is this too much?” followed immediately by “actually… no, we’re going for it.”

I know what it feels like to want something that reflects you as a couple. Not just a cake that ticks a box, but one that feels personal, bold, a little bit different. The kind of cake that people gather round. The kind that becomes part of the story.
