I'm pleased to say that I'm now working at the brilliant Hanks’ Meat & Game, so although I am reverting back to not doing very much under the banner of Bunting & Baking, you can get a selection of my cakes in the shop. This week it's Bara Brith and caramel shortbread. 😋

I loved making this one. Sadly the lighting in my kitchen was all wrong to get a decent photo - it just doesn't do it justice and you can't see the texture finish on the cake layers at all.

Entirely vegan and Biscoff flavoured.

A little transparency post. I'm blessed to be able to say that not many of my customers question my prices. Below is a breakdown of a standard 6" chocolate drip cake featuring some of the most commonly asked for chocolates. If I'm paying myself £12 per hour (below minimum wage) and factoring in only a 10% profit margin to cover reinvestment and growth, you can see that the price should be £93.91. Now I don't charge as much as that for this product, so as ingredients/supplies and overhead are fixed, it stands to reason that the two factors I'm cutting are my wage and my profit margin.

This isn't a complaint, I choose my prices - I just try to be mindful of what customers think is reasonable versus what is affordable for me. I just thought it would be helpful for people to see that I don't pluck my prices out of the air and I'm not being greedy.

Thank you so much to my amazing customers, the majority of whom, particularly repeat customers, don't question what I ask for. ❤️❤️

A very happy Christmas to all my followers. Thank you for your support in the recent months, since taking on orders again. It has been on a limited basis and I haven't been able to say yes to everything. In the new year I will be able to take on a bit more, so I look forward to hearing from customers old and new! In the meantime, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year!
