Hi 👋🏼 gained a few new followers lately 🫶🏼 so let’s introduce myself properly 😆

I’m Michelle… baker, mum, coffee drinker, professional chaos coordinator and the face behind M.W’s Cakes & Bakes 💖

I spend most of my time in a hair net, covered in chocolate, creating new bakes for the Cake Shed and trying to remember what day of the week it is 😂

I love creating new bakes, and I live by one simple rule… life’s too short to waste calories on bad cake 😂🍰

I’m a bit of a perfectionist (okay, a lot 😅), so every recipe gets tested, tweaked, and probably overthought before it ever makes it into the Cake Shed 🙈

And then there are my beautiful children, Ethan (8) and Jae (5) ❤️

They are my absolute world, my biggest motivation, and the reason behind everything I do. They’re also, coincidentally, the reason I need a large glass of wine at the end of the day 🙃🍷😂

Being a mum will always be my most important job, and one of the reasons I started this business was to build something that could fit around family life and give me more time with them.

And of course, I couldn’t talk about my little business without mentioning my amazing husband, Tom 🫶🏼

Not only does he work full-time and come home to help with the kids, but you’ll often find him sporting a hair net (and beard net! 😂) while helping me pack the bakes, stick labels on, and load up the Cake Shed ready for the weekend.
