…and off the back of that previous post, admin needs to catch-up on a few things we’ve missed out on!
Firstly: AGM awards! In what was both their first years within RRC, both Jess & Sean picked up female and male of the year awards! 👏👏 We’ve already had Sean’s interview and dived into his incredible progress in such a short space of time which was reflected in his award. Jess, was exactly the same; shortly after she joined, she tackled her first half, and has since gone from strength to strength, and even gone on to do her first marathon, and always brings a smile and a laugh to club! Stay tuned for Jess’ interview due out soon!!
We also had Dani picking up the cross country award; attending every event, and absolutely smashing each course; not long now until the new season!
And finally, Shannene picked up the worthy “runners runner award”. A special award, as this is the one that comes directly from your fellow runners! You will recall from previous posts that Shannene has just hit PB after PB and has also come on recently as one of our new coaches too!
Finally, we also had a great turnout at Wickford parkrun last week; we then have Essex Way relay on Sunday, before then also heading into the last Crown to Crown of the summer! A stacked diary for RRC, and there’s still so much to come!
