Sweet Surprise Cakes Bespoke cakes designed just for you. I love all the cakes I have done, but I try not to do them twic Hi, I'm Mel and I've been making cakes for over 25 years.

It started as just a hobby, inspired by my Nanny Pam who was a amazing cake maker. I'm a wife, a mum of 2, I have a full time job and I work for 2 event company and try to have a social life :)
I love rock, pop punk, sci-fi, horror, vampire and gothic, so very happy to do cakes that are different, so don't be afraid to asks.

Hi, sorry it’s been so long. I have been thinking a lot about my cake Business and how I’m going to move forward. Hopefully I should reopen in a few months, but things will be changing, I will be stepping away from big cakes, as I physically can not put in the hours anymore. I work full time and have a family, and spending 3 - 4 nights in the kitchen after work, sometimes till 2am, has taken its toll. Something’s got to give.
So I have decided to concentrate on smaller bakes, like brownies, cupcakes, tray bakes and shortbread. I will be doing small 6in cakes, but buttercream only.
I will be posting all details, photos and prices when I reopen. And will start taking booking then, and not before.
