Good afternoon. It's been a while, and I apologise for that.
I have been super busy, I am working full time and also studying for my teaching assistant Level 2 qualification.
as well as being a mum of 2, looking after them and the home.

For the above reasons, I will not be baking for a while. Sadly, I just dont have the time. Cakes take up a lot of my evenings. But so does assignments, kids, and general life.
Until my course is completed.
I am unable to do it all, so something has to take a back seat while I do what I need to do
Hopefully, I will be back when life calms down a bit. But for now, I will focus on studies, work, and my family.

Ok, sorry for the longish back story.
This cake was quite important and a huge challenge.
Max Heritage is 16 today and a VERY talented artist/animator. He has a very promising future in this field.
So when I was asked to make his birthday cake. I was very nervous.

Translating someone's artwork into a cake is a huge job, especially if you want to get it spot on. So for this cake I took pictures of each stage. The cake is chocolate sponge in the middle, and rkt adds ons to the sides.
All were covered in white
fondant, and then re covered in the correct colour fondant.
The I hand painted the whole cake to shade it, and give it the same look as the pencil drawing i had been sent.
On top are 2 of the characters Max has created. Bern is the blue one on the top of his house alongside the main character, Quad.
Max, it was a pleasure to be part of the Quad squad for a bit, and I hope you have all the success you deserve in your creative career. Oh and happy 16th birthday.

Happy 13th birthday to Ruby. We hope you had an amazing party last night.
This was a huge cake, 3 tiers 8", 6" and 4" all covered in black fondant, with edible gold leaf, hand painted details, hand painted candy melt poly balls, and a personalised topper.

Thank you to Paul and Debbie for driving all the way over to collect it and getting it there in one piece. That was definitely not an easy challenge. Xx

Forgot to post this one, it was my last cake of 2024 as i took a well deserved break from it all.
I am now taking on a few bookings each month. Already have a couple in March and April.
So if you need a cake this year, get your dates pencilled in before there's no slots left.
Happy new year 2025 is here, let it be an amazing year for us all xx
