One thing that's guaranteed after a cake order... cake trimmings!

Sometimes they're inhaled by the kids before I've even finished tidying up. Sometimes they get tucked away in the freezer for another day.

Today they had a glow-up... Pistachio & Chocolate Cake Pop Truffles.

Made from leftover white chocolate sponge, pistachio cream and buttercream, rolled into bite-sized treats and coated in rich dark chocolate. Absolutely no cake goes to waste in this kitchen! 😍

Beating the heat this weekend, I created this vibrant birthday cake.

Three layers of moist chocolate sponge are filled with smooth chocolate buttercream and finished with a coat of hot pink vanilla buttercream, and yellow piping.

A cake with as much personality as the birthday girl!

Three layers of moist, spiced carrot cake sandwiched with tangy citrus cream cheese frosting, fresh, delicious and dangerously moreish.

Decorated with gloriously garish sprinkles, plenty of colour and an utterly inebriated Barbie who looked like she'd fully embraced the party spirit, this cake was the perfect centrepiece for a fabulous 45th birthday celebration.

I love baking for special occasions. It's always a privilege to play a small part in someone's celebrations, whether it's a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or simply a reason to bring loved ones together.

The feedback is always appreciated, and it genuinely makes my day when I receive a glowing testimonial. Knowing that something I've created has brought joy to a special occasion is the reason I do what I do.
