THE LAST BAKE! 😫❤️

So guys, its with a heavy heart that I've have to make the difficult decision to close the doors on The Badass Bakery Co as of this coming weekend 😌

Since moving to a new, more rural location and with a huge downsize in work space and continuous transportation issues it was becoming increasingly harder for me to run the baking biz to the best of my ability and standards unfortunately began to slip and for the first time since I started on my baking journey I began to stop enjoying the process 😞

I absolutely adore baking, designing and creating anything cake but as the pressure I put on myself began to take its toll the love for it unfortunately started to fade 😌 so after many sleepless nights weighing up my options, the decision to close Badass Bakery and explore other opportunities is what I feel is best for me and my family at this moment in time ❤️

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has ever supported my little baking business, be it through ordering your sweet treats, showing the love on social media, spreading the word or with the countless gorgeous inbox messages ive received over the years - your all truly amazing 🥰

I obviously couldnt leave without one last bake so this Sunday Ive got a delicious menu of Badass Bakes that will be available for collection or delivery as a final hurrah 👋

Collections are available from Boroughbridge between 9am-12pm this Sunday with deliveries being made in Boroughbridge and Ripon between 12pm-3pm.

So the question that lands in my inbox above all others at the moment is 'when are the desserts making a comeback?' So for all those that have asked, I am happy to announce the wait is finally over 🥳😆

Not only are they back, you can now have them delivered direct to your door 😁

This Saturday we will be trailing a dessert delivery service covering the Boroughbridge and Ripon areas.

All dessert orders will be delivered this Saturday morning between 9am-12pm.

Depending on the success of this trail run we plan to offer this service every Saturday going forward. Each week there will be a new set of desserts added to the website available to pre order for delivery that week.

Whilst work is still underway on the new website and for the purpose of this trail run all orders will be taken via DM for this weeks deliveries.

Anybody who knows me knows that I am absolutely obsessed with the designing, creating and making process of pretty much everything, its basically all I think about 😆

Wether its cakes, bakes, hair, make up, home improvements, interior design, scrap booking, upcycling, personalised gifts and everything in between, I am never happier than when I am making the ideas in my head come to life, it just really does it for me 🫠😆

MONDAY MANTRA.....

Today is going to be a great day. This is going to be a great week 🙏 just putting that out in to the universe this morning and praying for a lovely drama free week where everything goes to plan, nothing breaks and I dont lose my s**t 🤯😆

Turning a new house in to a home is all fun and games until its not 😴🤣 being a one women band with a seemingly endless list of things to do can be bloody hard sometimes .....especially when your an absolute control freak and dont allow anyone else to chip in 🫣 buuut slow progress is better than no progress right 💪🏻

Then just to add to my never ending list of things to sort out I woke up Thursday morning to find my poor phone smashed and completely kaput next to my bed - mere weeks after deciding phone insurance wasnt a necessity and canceling it - what a dick 🤦‍♀️ seems I can even cause myself dramas whilst im fast asleep now, ffs 🫣 but I am just about all set up on a replacement now so normality has resumed and ill be catching up on all my messages this morning ☺️ first world problems ey 🙄😆

Anyway rant over because today is going to be a great day and this week is going to be a great week right 🙏🤞😆

SAFE TRAVELS 🌎🛥️🚙

Firstly... Can we just check me out posting 2 days in a row, go on Vik 👏🏻🙏🏻🤣

Secondly, I wanted to share a cake with you that I can actually say I was really proud of (which is something I don't do often, defo my own worst critic but I am working on that 🙈😆)

A few months ago my Pops asked me to whip up a cake to celebrate the retirement of a super close family friend and because of who it was for I knew I wanted to make it that bit extra special, so with free reign on the design I got my thinking cap on, made a rough plan of what I wanted to do and just let it evolve as I went along, it ended up being a tad bigger than planned but I was so pleased with how it turned out. Even though I can see the imperfections and there's stuff on it id do differently second time around I'm still super proud of myself for the final outcome 😁

You can hear my Pops reaction in the video from when he came to collect, I think he liked it too 😆 but then again he reacts like that to most cakes I make, my Poppa Bear is my no 1 cheerleader for sure!!! He's just the best 🥰😁
