Full time or substantial part time role available at an award-winning bakery based in Reeth in the glorious Yorkshire Dales.

Modern bakery kitchen, no overnight shifts (earliest start is 5am) and wonderful team.

We’re passionate about making delicious long fermented breads and French pastries and are looking for someone who shares our joy of pulling the perfect loaf out of the oven!

Experience in an artisan bakery making sourdoughs is highly desirable (and could lead to a senior position if desired)
but we have a track record of training novice bakers with the right attitude.

Start date flexible but ideally early July.

Good news! We’re open as usual this Easter weekend.

We’ve dialled down the menu slightly for April to help us cope with a busy bank holiday weekend and some staffing changes over the coming weeks. You’ll still get delicious food and fabulous service from the team but you’ll notice not all your favourites are there. Watch this space for some new menu items coming down the line.

Maisie has worked with us on a Saturday since her school days. She’s a fantastic member of the team but I’ve recently discovered she’s also a rather wonderful home baker.

She’s made these gorgeous, limited edition biscuits for this weekend. A melt in the mouth shortbread with her homemade raspberry jam.

We’ve got some lovely new specials on this weekend …

A particular shout out to our new Hot Bowls - a generous serving of steaming homemade deliciousness with a big hunk of sourdough to mop it up. On the menu this weekend is Greek Briam (an aubergine and tomato based vegetable bake) with feta OR Spanish chicken, chorizo and butter bean stew. Perfect for these awful winter days.

Oh and of course our usual banging cakes, pastries and savoury pies..
