Cold weather calls for hot drinks and something good on the side ☕🍪

It’s the season for slowing things down a little, getting cosy and appreciating all those simple things that somehow feel even better at this time of year ☕🍪

Today is World Mental Health Day 💛

Life gets busy, and taking time for ourselves can sometimes end up at the bottom of the list.

Today is a little reminder to slow down where you can. Get some fresh air, call someone you love, switch off for a while, or simply give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing.

Self-care looks different for everyone, and it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Something a little different from the sweet stuff 🧀🌊

Our Savoury Biscuits with Cornish Sea Salt are part of the Cornish Collection, with a crisp, moreish bite that makes them a very welcome addition to any cheeseboard.

Something warm and cosy for apple season 🍎🍂

These Baked Apples with Apple Pie Cookie Crumble are super simple to make and even better served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or custard.

You'll need:
🍎 4 eating apples
🍪 Furniss Apple Pie Cookies
🤎 2 tbsp brown sugar
✨ ½ tsp cinnamon
🧈 25g butter

A handful of raisins or sultanas (optional)

Vanilla ice cream or custard, to serve

Core the apples, making sure you leave the bottom intact.

Crush the Apple Pie Cookies and mix with the brown sugar, cinnamon and butter. Add raisins or sultanas if you fancy, then spoon the mixture into the apples.

Bake at 180°C for around 25-30 minutes, until the apples are soft and the topping is golden.

Serve warm with ice cream or custard and enjoy! 🍎

Today marks the Autumn Equinox 🍂

We love this time of year in Cornwall, when life starts to slow down a little, the evenings get cosier and we're treated to some pretty incredible autumn sunsets along the way 🌅

It's officially time for crisp walks, darker evenings, the kettle going on and, of course, a well-stocked biscuit tin ☕🍪
