Our first ever race at the Daytona Motorsport Sandown Park 3 Hour Endurance on Sunday showed good potential:

Olly managed to qualify in 6th for the team.

In the race Boyd had a rapid start, getting as high as 2nd before pitting, unfortunately a mistake on pit entry meant we incurred a 30 second penalty, all drivers had great pace throughout & Olly did well to bring it home in 5th.

However, looking at our pace plus the gap to 3rd, we easily could’ve been there without the penalty but 5th DESPITE a 30 second penalty is still good for a new team & not bad for a bakery against serious Karting teams.

This definitely won’t be our last race.

The 4th of our 5 driver announcements for tomorrow’s Daytona Motorsport 3 Hour endurance is: Boyd Wayne!

Boyd is the first of 2 champion kart racers we have managed to drag out of retirement for the 3 Hour tomorrow, (can anyone guess the other one? 🤔) Boyd was one of the top DMAX drivers at Sandown & last weekend he proved that he still is by making the podium in a DMAX Sprint Open Race by placing 2nd, even against some of Sandown’s current regulars.

We hope Boyd can make it 2/2 podiums in his comeback at tomorrow’s 3 Hour…

The 3rd of our 5 driver announcements for tomorrow’s Daytona Motorsport 3 Hour endurance is: Alex Hague!

Alex has raced both karts & cars, also achieving podiums in both.

He even achieved 2 podiums in the BTCC supporting Ginetta Juniors series.

His experience should be an asset to the team tomorrow…

The 2nd of our 5 driver announcements for tomorrow’s Daytona Motorsport Sandown Park 3 Hour race is the most experienced driver in our line-up:

Olly Cooper-Welton!

Olly is not only an experienced driver at Sandown but also once worked there as the manager & instructor during the pre-Daytona era.

He has Karting success on both sides of the pond as he also races Super Karts in California while being the club secretary for NCK Roadracing.

Olly brings both speed & experience to the team, we are optimistic to see what he can do in the 3 hour tomorrow…

Reece is the head of our racing project & one of the most experienced drivers of Surrey’s best Karting circuit.
