We've just come off the back of a 10 week run of markets, alongside weddings/events and your orders it's been a pretty busy 10 weeks (which we LOVE 🙏).
Market wins
•2/3 day events with returning customers as they liked what they had so much day 1/2 🥰
•Having an outdoor spot in the shade (shout out to organisers that get how important this is for bakers).
•Selling out 🙌
Fails
•Baking in multiple heatwaves 😭
LITERALLY couldn't do this solo! I want your bakes to be as fresh as possible (hence why we don't have our bakes stacked sky high on the stall, we keep most of the bakes in airtight containers and restock regularly) so thankfully my partner Jay is as on board with this business as I am (actually though, he's the one booking all these markets 😅) so I can stay in the kitchen baking everything fresh each day.
I miss the good market vibes, getting to chat to the other stall holders & the shopping/food of course but Jay's setting records for the time it takes to get a gazebo up & down & I get the impression I'm slowing him down when I'm there to "help" 😬😅
Anyway, plenty more markets to come but just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that's supported us at a market, returning & new customers! It's always a risk deciding what stock to take, we want to have enough to last us throughout the event and don't want customers to be disappointed but also don't want to come home with loads of bakes so can't thank you enough for selling us out 😚
