Good morning Reading. As the Reading Festival is taking place next week, there are a few updates on the shop openings and market days BLUE COLLAR 🌮🍔🍹 on Fridays

The shop will be closed from 26th August - 2nd September

This means NO market on the 28th

As I get back to work on a Wednesday, I won't have time to prepare for the market on the 4th September. So I will not be at the market on that day too.

I will be back to normal the week after.

Good morning Reading. It's a lot less hot outside. And a lovely breeze.

I'm all set for today. Got bread from this week to cover the . As they are on holiday for the whole month. Today I have white, seeded and walnut. I will have the same for next weekend too.

We are specialising in Croquembouches wedding cakes. Trying to make your experience as easy as possible by simplifying the process.

First of all, a croquembouche is a tower of choux, filled with custard, dipped in caramel then stuck together to form a cone. It is traditionally made for weddings, christening , anniversaries and communions. We have also had it for birthdays too. The cake needs to be put together on the day as due to its ingredients, it can't be done in advance and refrigerated. So the delivery time is one of the most important part of the order process.

Seared chicken thighs, Deglazed with White wine, seasoned with lemon juice, and herbs, covered with chicken stock and braised slowly into the oven.

Another week is gone and also the end of the month. Can you imagine TK max has already got Halloween stuff out?
