Cake portions perfect for large get togethers and dessert tables.🤤 🍰

These bakes were requested to be pre-portioned in to small pieces for a large get together. 🥰

My usual 12 piece jam and coconut school cake was cut in to 24 smaller pieces and Vanilla cake filled with mango & cream filling was made as a traybake with small seperate portions each with a mango cream flower on top.🍰❤️

The cake that didn’t go to the intended customer. 🦋🎂😢

First time that this has happened to me. Upsetting as this was, I guess there’s always lessons to be learnt and that’s a good thing.🥰

I had already kind of guessed this was going to happen 2 days before but because I was not 100% certain as they were not clear whether they did still want it, I made it anyway. I had already baked the cake anyway, bought new butterfly cutters and had the ingredients to decorate anyway.

I know I could and maybe should of stopped but the idea of letting someone down for their occasion does not sit well with me. 🍰❤️

I always send my payment policy to customers before confirming the order so that they are aware and can confirm having agreed to it. This is a standard policy that most bakers have. 🍰
A 50% deposit is taken to confirm the order and the remainder at least 2 days before collection. I do insist on payment first just like any online business would especially with people I don’t know and even with regular customers. I will not be changing this.

So glad someone else was happy to take it from me as well as all the appreciation from so many others of the cake who messaged me to let me know how much they liked it. ❤️
(this includes the original customer 😳)

Always happy to get appreciation as well feedback. Sorry for the essay and I hope you like the cake too.😘

Whimsical cake made for my smarty pants daughter. So proud of her ❤️

I won’t lie I am not happy with this cake.🎂
However this was the 4th change of design on it and I think I will have to remake it another day. Normally when I get to have creative freedom I end up with my best work but this time I just think I had too many ideas at once and they just clashed. I know I can make this better. I’ve already apologised🤦🏽‍♀️
I only posted it to celebrate my daughter. I would not be giving this to a customer.😵‍💫

This is a pandan cake with whipped cream frosting as requested by her.🍰
She got the pandan bug on our holiday this year and has been missing it since we got back
Gymnastics figures because she has spent most of her life upside down and doing gymnastics. 😂
