🌈 Shout out to the team at Ramsey Rugby Club Doorstep Deliveries, for winning the Outstanding Contribution to the Community Category sponsored by KPMG in the Crown Dependencies - Isle of Man! 🌈

Dave Harding, Gareth Hinge and Michael Flynn from Ramsey Rugby Club rallied together as soon as the initial lockdown was announced to make sure no vulnerable people in the north of the Island went without. In no time at all they set up ‘Doorstep Deliveries’ which involved the distribution of Isle of Man Foodbank parcels as well as organising shopping and prescription deliveries for shielding, isolating and returning residents.

Well folks we are nearly out of lockdown mk3. We are starting to mothball our services again.
We have delivered our last Foodbank deliveries and are handing back operations to the lovely ladies that do it all year round.
We'll keep this page going for a month just in case we are needed again, hopefully not!
Thanks to everyone that's helped us with donations and a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteers.
We hope we've demonstrated what is possible with a bit of organisation and loads of community spirit. We also hope we have inspired others to volunteer in your local community.

We would like to say a massive thank you to our good friends at Ramsey Group Practice and Ramsey Bakery for their recent donations to the Foodbank via Ramsey Rugby Club Doorstep Deliveries. Cheers folks.
If you have anything you would like to donate we are always about at the Foodbank hub down at Gladstone Park on Saturday mornings between 10 and 12. We are still accepting your spare carrier bags as well.
We leave disinfected green trays at the front of the unit for donations.

Just a quick update on what our fantastic volunteers are up to.

We have been busy helping with the Northern Foodbank Hub, prepping orders for delivery on Wednesday evening. In total we have 10 volunteers giving up their own time to help the foodbank.

We also have another 10 or so volunteers helping people who are either shielding or isolating with shopping and prescription collecting.

We are also helping people with our dog walking service.
We have had confirmation that we can dog walk for people isolating as long as we observe the relevant H&S guildlines.

Our volunteers can also help with collecting delivering CO-OP and EVF click and collect orders.
