The Great Cake Company is a wholesale bakery business, specialising exclusively in Gluten-Free tasty cakes and bakes. You will find us in coffee shops and deli-counters around the South West of England and catch up with us at Somerset Farmers Markets across the region. The production kitchen is run by pastry chef Debbie Hicks, who has been baking for the Great Cake Company for the last 10 years. D

ebbie has worked in a variety of roles in catering during her 30+ year career. Debbie’s CV includes the prestigious food emporium of Harrods in Knightsbridge where she spent 6 years as sous-chef for the pastry production kitchen winning Gold award with Hotel Olympia for plated desserts along with 'Best in Class'. Other notable establishments that have benefitted from Debbie's creative pastry skills include; London Capital Club, The Dorchester and The Landmark hotels. After returning to her home village of Kilmington, near Warminster, Debbie has baked great cakes for Caracoli boutique coffee shops before joining The Great Cake Company.

There is something incredibly special about a sunlit market morning with live music playing in the background.
This Saturday, Nailsea High Street comes alive again with over 40 of our wonderful local producers. The forecast is looking beautiful, and to make the morning even better, we have Rikki Buckingham joining us to play live music during the market.
It is also a weekend for welcoming back some familiar faces. Please make sure to stop by and say a huge congratulations to the newly-weds at Loaf Shack, who are back with their amazing bakes. We are also thrilled to welcome back Colin from Bristol Woodturning with his beautifully crafted woodwork.
Come down, grab a coffee and some fresh food, and enjoy a proper community Saturday with us.
