ANNOUNCEMENT.
It brings me great sadness to announce that I’ve decided to close my bakery at Radcliffe Market.
It’s been a tough decision to make, but unfortunately I can no longer sustain running this business single-handedly.
This journey began with a love for baking and sharing the results with people. I loved this so much, I became blind to the pressure it was placing on my wellbeing as my hobby burgeoned into a full-blown business. It's been a slow and uneasy realisation, but I've come to accept that I can't keep Lo.So.Do alive in its current form, despite how much I truly love being your local sourdough baker.
With that said, I want to give the biggest thank you possible to everyone who has helped this baker live out her dream so far.
I’d like to thank my friends and family for their emotional support and believing in my love for baking. You were the ones telling me my bread tasted amazing when I knew it wasn’t the best. And of course, thank you to those who put in the odd pro bono shift at the bakery on busy mornings just because you knew I needed the help.
I’d like to thank for giving me the opportunity to take my bakery business out of my kitchen into my own space within a community-focused market. I’d also like to thank all of the other traders that supported me, who’ve in turn become good friends for life. A big thanks to for always being there for my caffeine addiction too!
And of course, more than anyone I’d like to thank my amazing customers who've turned up week in, week out to support me. I've relished every moment of being your local baker and I’m truly sorry the journey has to come to an end. I will remember each and every one of you for the rest of my life.
Of course, my passion for sourdough is too strong for this to be the end of Lo.So.Do! Watch this space to find out where my baking takes me next. In the meantime, you can get your sourdough fix from one of the many wonderful bakeries in Manchester ( .and.soul.bakery ) who work miracles daily to keep this wonderful craft alive.
Take care for now.
