After 4 years of cookie capers, I’ve made the very difficult decision to hang my apron up and shut the doors of my wonderful cookie emporium ✨
Running my own business has honestly been such an awesome thing to do for so many reasons, but it comes with its ups and downs, especially when juggling everything single-handedly. I feel blessed that I am in a position where I’m able to choose, and not that I’m forced into making this decision. Business has been great and sales are at an all-time high, but my work/life balance doesn’t really exist and I know I’ve worked bloomin’ hard to get HC to where it is now, but it’s time for me to do something new and explore new avenues 🥰
The humble journey has been AMAZING! I’ve had the opportunity to do something I love and met so many bloody incredible people along the way, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Your support, custom and overall loveliness has been just 🥹 I’ve loved hearing your feedback and cookie stories, the general chit-chat at the stall, and sending your loved ones gift boxes knowing that it’ll make somebody’s day is the cherry on the… cookie. Also the opportunity to meet other amazing traders, some of whom will be life-long friends ❤️
So anyway, I have 4 more markets left. Today I’m in GLOUCESTER, tomorrow (Sat 8th) I’m in CIRENCESTER. Next Friday 14th I’ll be in CHELTENHAM, finishing up with my cookie finale in STROUD on Sat 15th. Website orders will close over the weekend.
It will be a sad day when I close, but I’ll leave on a high and excited for what the future holds! At least I can say to the grandkids ‘you know once upon a time, nanny made these enormous cookies for a living?’ 🤣🥰
