✨ 6 YEARS LATER… ✨
September 2019 — my family and I went on the Coronation Street tour. I was still at school studying Enterprise, and I hated it. 😂 I swore I would never own a business and couldn’t understand why I needed to learn about it.
Little did I know that just a few months after leaving school, this whole journey would begin. 🎂
In 2024, I started working at a local pub, where one of the regulars worked on Coronation Street. He put a good word in for my cakes, and that one opportunity opened a door I never could have imagined.
In 2025, I started working with Coronation Street — from small shortbreads and cookies for Roy’s Rolls, to Easter cakes and eventually FOUR wedding cakes for the show. 🤍
Since then, I’ve also worked on other ITV dramas, creating multiple cakes that had to be completely identical for filming. 🎬🎂
And now, six years after visiting the set as a schoolgirl, I’ve been back again — but this time, setting up a wedding fair for the show. 🥹
I’ve also just signed another very exciting contract for a project I can’t talk about just yet… 👀🤫 But I can promise you, even bigger things are coming.
I just know my Business teacher would be laughing seeing me now after all those school meltdowns when I insisted I’d never use any of it. 😂
It’s a reminder that you really never know what’s around the corner.
Take the opportunities. Work hard. Don’t burn yourself out. And most importantly, give yourself credit for how far you’ve come. 🤍
Six years ago I was walking around the Corrie set at a time where I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life.
Six years later, I’m back because of the business I once swore I’d never have.
Life really is funny like that. 🥹🎂✨
