Passion for baking is a family tradition, we produce artisan pies, pasties and sausage rolls and you can find us at markets and events throughout the North West - we also do online orders We are Pudding and Pie a small family run business based In Freckleton, Lancashire who specialise in making tasty homemade pies from
locally sourced produce. We produce, by hand, both sweet and savoury fillings,
a range of plate, individual and slab pies, as well as some sausage rolls and pork pies for take home consumption off the premises. A tradition, with our Great Great Grandma, running Blackhurst
Tearooms in Wrea Green, offering homemade fayre and stabling for weary
travellers. Using family favourite recipes passed down through the
generations, we pride ourselves on a beautifully light shortcrust
pastry, which is hand rubbed in our shop. The
cheese we use is from JJ Sandhams at Barton, and the pie is truly
delicious, when served gently warmed with a large glass of red wine. We have Steak and Lancashire Ale, Steak and Creamy Stilton, Steak,Red Wine and Mushroom
Pork Cider and Apple, Roast Pork and Chorizo, as well as Apple and Rhubarb pies to name a few.We also make summer and winter specials from Sandhams Cheese with Blackpudding Tart, A winter warmer in Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato Cheese and Chilli, to a summer delight goats cheese, spinach and cherry tomato tart. We also bake "probably" the best scones on the Fylde coast and delicious cakes. We stand many farmers markets locally and further afield. Our products are
becoming increasingly well known and we have a built up a real
following for our Lancashire cheddar cheese and onion pie.
