I’m still not over this! Ever.

Seeing these professional photographs has brought it all flooding back..the evening excitement, supporting fellow suppliers, the disbelief and most of all the absolute gratitude.

Watching Luke & Lloyd admire the cake we created together was one of those special moments that reminds me why I love what I do.

Over the many years of designing wedding cakes, we’ve had the privilege of working at some truly beautiful couples & venues across Lancashire. Mitton Hall in Whalley, Ribble Valley remains one of those venues that never fails to inspire. Seeing this contemporary cake design sitting perfectly within its surroundings felt like everything had come together exactly as we’d imagined.

But the most rewarding part is never just the wedding cake.

It’s seeing our couples enjoy it. It’s receiving your gallery photographs after the wedding. It’s hearing about the moments that made your day special. Those little messages, cards and photographs mean far more than you’ll ever know.

Every couple is different. Some are happy to share their wedding journey with us long after the celebrations have ended, whilst others prefer to keep those memories private and that’s something we always completely respect.

What I do know is that some couples leave a lasting impression, and Luke & Lloyd will certainly be one of them. Working together to bring their vision to life was an absolute pleasure and a wonderful reminder of why I love creating wedding cakes so much.

To every couple who has walked through the doors of our bridal cake studio, thank you for trusting us with such an important part of your wedding day. Modern wedding cake design leaves no room for error. Every edge, proportion, finish and detail must be meticulously executed.

Starting with a conversation, the moment Luke and Lloyd visited our bridal cake studio it was clear they had a clear vision for their wedding at Mitton Hall in Whalley.

Contemporary, refined and effortlessly elegant, they were drawn to a modern aesthetic where every detail felt intentional and every element worked in harmony with the overall design of the day.

Together, we explored everything from proportions, textures and flavours, creating a bespoke wedding cake that felt perfectly at home within the setting whilst becoming a statement piece in its own right.
Cherry Bakewell was also a clear favourite with Classic Vanilla & Orange & Cranberry also featuring within the tiers.

Modern wedding cake design leaves nowhere to hide. Every edge must be sharp, every tier perfectly balanced and every finish flawless. Achieving a clean, contemporary look requires meticulous craftsmanship, careful planning and an unwavering attention to detail. And I absolutely love it.

One of our favourite details was the bespoke monogram, created exclusively for Luke and Lloyd. A subtle feature that transformed the cake into something uniquely personal and reflective of their celebration. Hand piped detail was something we agreed together to add as a final addition, and it finished the wedding cake off perfectly.

Seeing the finished design at Mitton Hall, surrounded by the carefully curated styling of the day, was a wonderful reminder that luxury is found in the details.

The craftsmanship that goes unseen.

The pursuit of perfection in every finish, fold and proportion.

This unique four tier wedding cake was inspired by the romance of antique interiors and delicate vintage details. I adored designing this beauty.

Soft draping, handcrafted, intricate piping aligns together to create a design that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, bringing a sense of old world elegance to a modern wedding celebration.

As a wedding cake designer, I love creating pieces that feel deeply personal to a couple’s vision, ensuring the cake becomes part of the overall styling story. From the moment you step into the bridal studio your journey begins.
