Causeway Speciality Market has confirmed that this Saturday’s market (11th April) has been cancelled due to forecasted high winds. The decision has been taken in the interest of safety for traders, visitors, and staff, as the expected conditions make it unsafe to proceed.

The market’s 20th Anniversary celebrations will now take place on Saturday, 11th July 2026, with visitors looking forward to a full day of local produce, artisan crafts, and family-friendly activities to mark the occasion.

The Council-run Causeway Speciality Market, Coleraine will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday 11th April 2026. Council’s Town and Village team, who proudly run the market, invites everyone to join them for a very special outdoor celebration - recognising two decades of talented makers, local produce, artisan craft, creativity and of course community.

The Market has become one of the largest outdoor artisan markets in NI over the years and has supported many local startups to develop their businesses.

Oliver McMullan, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, has welcomed the upcoming celebrations, saying: “The Causeway Speciality Market holds a special place within our community. For 20 years, it has provided an important platform for local traders, offering high-quality artisan produce while showcasing the exceptional talent and enterprise across our area.

“The Market has become a valued community asset and a vibrant focal point within Causeway Coast and Glens. As we mark this significant milestone, I encourage residents and visitors to join us on Saturday 11th April for what promises to be a fitting celebration of its success and an opportunity to look ahead to its continued growth in the years to come.”

Council is planning a year-long programme of celebratory activity, from April 2026 to March 2027.

The free anniversary celebration showcase event, on Saturday 11th April 2026 will feature live entertainment, family activities, and promises to be a fun-filled day for all that reflects the market’s unique appeal.
